블루스에서나 들을 법한 끈적한 기타 톤을 앞세워 멜랑꼴리한 멜로디를 선보이는 프록 블랙메탈 앨범. 여타의 블랙과 달리 거센 비트와 찢어지는 보컬은 없지만 나름대로 악마적인 그로울링이 돋보인다. 중간에 끼어드는 클린보컬도 특유의 기괴한 분위기를 만드는데 일조하고 있으며, 간간이 들려주는 미들 템포와 밝은 기타 솔로도 전혀 어색하지 않다. Deathspell Omega를 비롯한 소위 아방가르드 블랙메탈과 유사한 느낌을 받을 수 있겠지만, 악기 구성이 상당히 구식이라 프랑스나 북유럽식의 세련된 최신 블랙과는 악곡 자체가 다르다. 물론 더블 베이스가 무시무시하게 달려주고는 있지만 크게 부담될 정도는 아닌데다가, 완급조절이 뛰어나 딱히 지루한 부분을 찾기 어렵다. 해먼드 오르간의 음색이 심지어는 중세적인 악마를 표상하는 듯하여 장르적 정체성도 크게 훼손시키지 않았다는 것을 알 수 있다. 특이한 구성을 좋아하는 리스너라면 분명히 본작에 마음을 빼앗길 것이며, 특히 Cormorant의 밝고도 기괴한 블랙메탈을 선호하는 분에게 강력추천.
