Bolt Thrower je už zavedené meno na hudobnej scéne, pričom na druhom albume "Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness" pokračujú vo svojom štýle ťažkotonážneho old school Death Metal -u. Celkom podarené album.

커버아트가 매우 멋짐 (재발매반은 안이쁨). 아무 정보 없이 들었을 당시엔 워햄머스러운 사운드를 기대했지만 자글자글거리는 소리밖에 안들려 크게 실망했던 기억.반복 감상하다보니 밴드의 아이덴티티인 혼돈의 카오스스러운 헤비리핑과 근본없이 후려갈기는 블래스트비트가 상당히 매력적. 슬레이어의 영향이 강하게 느껴지는 기타리프는 덤.

This is a great inbetween thrash and death metal album lots of fast parts but enough slow bolt thrower to keep that doomy atmosphere love them for!

데뷔작보다 훨씬 더 자리잡힌 사운드에 귀가 마냥 즐겁습니다. 무게감 장난아니게 육중한 탱크 궤도 깔아뭉개는 사운드에 짓눌리는 기분이 매우 좋네요. 일렉 하이프렛에서 쏴주는 연주는 마치 전쟁터에서 총탄이 빗발치는 느낌입니다. 리프도 훌륭하고 처음부터 끝까지 같은 보이스로 밀고 나가는 보컬도 적절합니다. 질주감 파괴력 양쪽 다잡은 수작 데스메탈.

An amazingly heavy OSDM album with a slew of martial pounding that doesn't relent for a minute. I'd tentatively say, while not the fastest or most extreme, it is the heaviest album of the 80's. Guitars sound thick as molasses.

올드스쿨 데스의 끝판왕. 워해머 세계관 특유의 "영원한 전쟁"의 과격함과 비참함이 느껴집니다. 지금보면 좀 낡은 기타 톤이기도 하지만 그 덕분에 묵직한 맛이 있네요. 질주감보다 무게감을 통한 분위기 형성도 맘에 듭니다.

UK Death Metal giants Bolt Thrower really knows how to write an amazing record. They bash on the guitars incessantly, producing a tone quite unique to their sound. Good songs from start to finish!

앨범 자켓처럼 현란하고 미래지향적인 사운드는 절대 아니지만 둔중하고 질량감 느껴지는 리프와 솔로가 잘 어우러진 정통 데스메탈. 정통 데스메탈에 대해 조금씩 알아갈때 꽤 좋은 앨범일듯 하다. 4집과는 사운드의 차이가 있다.
