Ulver,Arcturus 출신->보컬 Garm, 04년 자살한 Immortal, Gorgoroth 출신의 드러머Grim, Enslaved 의 키보드--> Ivar Bjnson/ 뭐 길게 적을 것도 없는 Borknagar 의 데뷔앨범 입니다.리드미컬한 흐름과 다양한 느낌이 나는 보이스+메이킹적인 기타음 화려함이나 감성적인 멜로디와 웅장함 이 느껴지는 흐름은 전체적으로 복잡미묘한 흐름이 인상적으로 다가왔습니다.

The Black Metal material is good, but the Viking and Folky material here is quite bad, sounding like a parody of the epic sound.

96년도에 나온 Borknagar의 1집은 이 이후 벌어질 노르웨이 블랙메탈 씬의 다양한 변화를 예고한 격이 아닐까? (블랙메탈에서 내가 그렇게나 싫어하는) 클린보컬도 등장하고 있고 빌어먹을 롯데월드 플라스틱 드라큐라 이빨을 끼고 하늘을 향해 울부짖는 ICS Vortex처럼 오버하지도 않아 좋다. (그런데 그 망할 ICS Vortex가 현재 Borknagar의 정식 멤버라는 것은 아이러니)

The more you listen to this, the more you'll enjoy it. Probably the most Black Metal album this band has released.
