Without a doubt a perfect score, and I think so far only Esoctrilihum can compete for album of the year against this masterpiece. The level of urgency I feel from each moment of each song is astounding. The songwriting is at such a high level, and it's executed better than any other band could. I absolutely love this new album, but I don't feel completely sure I can give it a perfect score, so it'll have to be a 95. The cover art had me wondering if they changed their style at all, but it's still atmospheric black metal. Also, it's great how they are continually able to record new songs that have as much or more vitality as the best of their previous albums. I was very pleased at the BM and heavy metal songwriting, and at the rich sound of the recording. One little criticism - too many songs start off with a scream in a similar way, especially considering it's just a 41-minute album, not a big deal though. Absolutely a good album.   Jul 6, 2023

I really liked the instrumentation & songwriting. Unfortunately the vocals bring my score down. I think singers need to ask themselvs, 'Is what I just did awesome?' and if the answer is 'no', then they need to decide which way to alter the approach and try another take. Slightly better than The Damp Chill of Life, but on this album the actual BM songs are a lot better. It's just the ambient parts that drag down the effectiveness of the album. Rest, the last track & single, is so brilliant that it is all over in just a brief moment, even though it's over 10 minutes in reality. This album comes in like a roaring lion after a nicely perfectly disturbing folk intro. There are tons of bright spots - mostly the drumming, and it's the drummer from Earth and Pillars. I find the 2nd half of the short EP slightly weaker than the first, and then the last ambient track is a big decrease for me. Without that ambient song it should get an 85 or 90. The control these guys have on the mood of the music is so masterful it feels like the sound is laced with magic. The very gothic song, Aurorae, feels a little influenced by Deftones to me. It's too bad this album spends too much time setting the mood; I felt like I wanted more of the main point of each song. Even considering that criticism, it's still a fantastic listen. The constant breakdowns on this album have almost no energy and a lot of the songs made me impatient. I found the last 2 tracks much better however. Another bright spot of this album is the constantly cool & moody atmosphere that is desolate, futuristic, and kind of industrial. 어쿠스틱 기타, 첼로, 플루트 등을 이용하여 녹음한 어쿠스틱 사운드의 작품이다. 그러나 표현하고자 하는 사운드의 방향성 자체는 무겁고 진지하다. 멜로디가 약간 서늘한 냉기를 품고 있다. 더운 여름에 들으면 시원함을 느낄 수도 있지만 대체로 가을의 분위기에 잘 어울린다. 커버아트와 음악의 매칭이 절묘하다.   Nov 4, 2024

95-100 2024년까지 나온 오케스트라와의 협연 음반 모든 것을 통틀어 최고다. 다 어설픈 편곡때문에 그냥 원곡 듣고 말지 라는 생각이 드는 반면 이 음반은 최소 제대로 만들어진 영화음악 하나 들었다 할 정도로 편곡자체가 매우 잘 되어 밴드와 오케스트라가 제대로 융화 예상과 달리 스튜디오로 앨범을 냈지만 dvd 2disc를 사면 라이브 시디가 포함되어 있는 듯 하다.   3 days ago

훌륭한 데뷰. 1집을 꼭 사야 할까라는 생각으로 살다가 이제야 얻어걸린 느낌으로 사게 되었다. 물론 1집을 필수라고 여기지 않았지만 후회도 없다. 보컬이 멤버들보다 나이가 10여살 많은 걸로 기억하고 게디리의 좀 더 듣기 좋은 버전이라고 생각이 든다. 다만 믹싱이 마음에 들지 않아서 살짝 밋밋하다. 보컬과 드럼이 살짝 뒤로 간 느낌.리믹스가 절실하나 과연?   Nov 7, 2024
