자꾸 옛날 생각하면 나이 들었다는 건데 이 앨범의 폭발하는 감수성과 파워풀한 하워드 보컬은 너무 좋았다. 20년전을 자꾸 회상하게 되네.

깔끔하고 쌈빡하게 쫙 빠진 사운드로 무장한 전형적인 아메리칸 스타일 메탈코어 대표작이라고 할 수 있겠습니다. 강철을 두른 듯한 리프들이 홍수처럼 쏟아집니다. 다만 너무 쫙 빠지게 만드려다가 기름기 까지 쏙 빼버려서 질기디질긴 닭고기같은 느낌도 듭니다. 중간중간 터져나오는 미국감성 멜로디의 클린보컬이 그나마 촉촉한 수분을 더해주고 있습니다.

메탈코어가 만들어낸 2000년대 초반 최고 걸작 중의 하나. 킬스위치 인게이지의 낮은 기타 톤과 중독성 있는 리프의 향연은 분명 코어인데도 정통 메탈보다 빡세다는 느낌이 들게 할 정도이다. 하지만 본작을 듣게 만드는 가장 큰 이유는, 그냥 너무 간지나고 세련미 넘치는 음악이니까. 그것 하나뿐이다.
