통상 16번째 정규 앨범으로 인간과 사이보그의 전쟁과 인류, 평화, 사랑등에 대해 이야기하는 컨셉 앨범이다. 루돌프섕커 재직이후로 대중적인 곡들을 주로 만들어내던 이들이 이 앨범에서는 다소 진지한 사운드를 담아내고 있는데 뭐 그래도 여전히 너무 프로그래시브하거나 복잡한 사운드는 아니다. 이당시 많은 모던 락밴드들이 활기차게 활동을 펼치고 높은 판매고를 올리고 있을때 이런 진지한 앨범을 냈으니 분명 고정팬들만 조용히 이 앨범을 즐겼을듯 싶다. 역시 스콜피온스 답게 조용히 앨범을 감상해보면 수준낮은 앨범은 절대 아니지만 그렇다고 킬링트랙이 존재하는것도 아니기 때문이다.

다른 스콜피온즈 작품과 달리 무겁고 어둡고 애절한 느낌이 부각되는 앨범. 1번트랙은 특히나 이질적이다. 그럼에도 보컬 퍼포먼스와 연주력, 압도적인 멜로디메이킹은 건재하다.

숨겨진 명반. blackout 앨범이 짧은 시간에 큰 임팩트를 주는 앨범이라면 Humanity는 오랫동안 꾸준히 생각나는 앨범.
