October Ends na albume "Phases" ponúkajú trendový nič nehovoriaci mišmaš všetkého, čo mohli zmiešať do jedného celku, pričom vznikli z toho nemožné piesne. Komerčná kapela kombinuje Metalcore s Nu-Metal -om, Alternatívou, Pop -om, Rap -om a djent -om. Je to pre-afektované, nedozreté a mojim ušiam nič nehovoriace. Po schopnom gitarovom riffe prídu disco motívy, potom prechod na nejakú trendy alternatívu, následne chvíľu pokričia, potom prejdú na sladučký popový spev (ten sladučký miestami elektronicky upravený mužský preafektovaný spev je otrasný), následne chvíľu za-rapujú, potom niečo pomixujú, následne opäť dajú gitary a potom to isté dookola. Nič originálne, len zmiešané trendy štýly s troškou gitár. Bieda.
