I was assuming it would be great, and it absolutely is. I had to listen quite a few times until deciding on a 95 instead of a perfect score, but I consider it equal to En Ergô Einai, which I also love. Track 4, Lost in the Fog, is the dankest, thickest, most powerful song that reaches all the way inside you and holds tight. The rest of the album is good too. Keep in mind it has a lot of non-heavy music, but it's freezing cold and sombre. Great work.   May 12, 2022

I was impressed with how much more I enjoyed this compared to their first album. There's more variety in this one. Even the parts that sound so angry like the first album are still a little better here. Everything in 40 nocy grudnia is written and produced in a way that results in very high emotional impact. Nice. It has western themes and instruments to add atmosphere. Kinda like Vehemence's 2022 album with knights replaced with cowboys. It doesn't feel like Wayfarer despite the western aspect in common. Not the best this year, but you'll never forget it for taking black metal somewhere it doesn't usually go.   May 12, 2022

There are a lot of beautiful choruses on this album. A lot of the songs feel cleaner and less deathy but like Omnium Gatherum's 2021 album Origin to me, which I like just a little more than this Amorphis album even though people seemed to like Origin less than me. My first thought was that this album comes from a very emotional place because it gets so beautiful and then so full of adrenaline. There's a little technical death metal mixed in, and more rarely it gets atmospheric. Mostly it's a symphonic black metal album with grandiose feelings like massive danger, creepiness, catharsis and more. A major find for May from a rather new artist.   May 9, 2022

I learned about Amiensus from seeing their Restoration album listed on this site, but I didn't think it was as good as it's reputation. This one is definitely better to my ears. Abreaction shows how much variety of sound can exist in atmospheric black metal. I can't make out much of the lyrics, so at least they don't distract me. Symphonic all the way through, with some nice field recordings, this album really sweeps you away in moody and grandiose movements. Of course it pounds too. 어쿠스틱 기타, 첼로, 플루트 등을 이용하여 녹음한 어쿠스틱 사운드의 작품이다. 그러나 표현하고자 하는 사운드의 방향성 자체는 무겁고 진지하다. 멜로디가 약간 서늘한 냉기를 품고 있다. 더운 여름에 들으면 시원함을 느낄 수도 있지만 대체로 가을의 분위기에 잘 어울린다. 커버아트와 음악의 매칭이 절묘하다.   Nov 4, 2024

95-100 2024년까지 나온 오케스트라와의 협연 음반 모든 것을 통틀어 최고다. 다 어설픈 편곡때문에 그냥 원곡 듣고 말지 라는 생각이 드는 반면 이 음반은 최소 제대로 만들어진 영화음악 하나 들었다 할 정도로 편곡자체가 매우 잘 되어 밴드와 오케스트라가 제대로 융화 예상과 달리 스튜디오로 앨범을 냈지만 dvd 2disc를 사면 라이브 시디가 포함되어 있는 듯 하다.   3 days ago

훌륭한 데뷰. 1집을 꼭 사야 할까라는 생각으로 살다가 이제야 얻어걸린 느낌으로 사게 되었다. 물론 1집을 필수라고 여기지 않았지만 후회도 없다. 보컬이 멤버들보다 나이가 10여살 많은 걸로 기억하고 게디리의 좀 더 듣기 좋은 버전이라고 생각이 든다. 다만 믹싱이 마음에 들지 않아서 살짝 밋밋하다. 보컬과 드럼이 살짝 뒤로 간 느낌.리믹스가 절실하나 과연?   Nov 7, 2024
