It is a shame that Shining have never reached this level of musicality in their later releases. This album is full of deviant and eerie electronica sounds with aggressive industrial metal elements. It might sound contradictory if I point out the unstructured musical features as the weakness of an avant-garde metal album. It would be exactly the same as criticising an avant-garde metal album for being avant-garde. But I think that great avant-garde metal must have distinct, and well-ordered musical arrays hidden in or juxtaposed with ingenious musicianship. It's a bold work as a newcomer to the thrash revival scene back in 2009. The entire album sounds never overcomplicated, and the riffs are simple and intuitive compared to the other thrash revivalists. It's a very attractive album with progressive additives. I highly recommend this album for whom originality is the top priority in evaluating music. It has always been tough for me to give this EP the proper evaluation that it deserves because it is not a full-length album, which means that, to me, some tracks might sound like something unfinished. Overall it is a quite unique-sounding EP that may make you have high hopes for their future works. 95-100 2024년까지 나온 오케스트라와의 협연 음반 모든 것을 통틀어 최고다. 다 어설픈 편곡때문에 그냥 원곡 듣고 말지 라는 생각이 드는 반면 이 음반은 최소 제대로 만들어진 영화음악 하나 들었다 할 정도로 편곡자체가 매우 잘 되어 밴드와 오케스트라가 제대로 융화 예상과 달리 스튜디오로 앨범을 냈지만 dvd 2disc를 사면 라이브 시디가 포함되어 있는 듯 하다.   5 days ago

훌륭한 데뷰. 1집을 꼭 사야 할까라는 생각으로 살다가 이제야 얻어걸린 느낌으로 사게 되었다. 물론 1집을 필수라고 여기지 않았지만 후회도 없다. 보컬이 멤버들보다 나이가 10여살 많은 걸로 기억하고 게디리의 좀 더 듣기 좋은 버전이라고 생각이 든다. 다만 믹싱이 마음에 들지 않아서 살짝 밋밋하다. 보컬과 드럼이 살짝 뒤로 간 느낌.리믹스가 절실하나 과연?   Nov 7, 2024
