Strange Highways

Not a complete failure by any means, but after once a slightly weaker whole than before. There are some good songs, but in my opinion they are far too heavy, and the album is generally quite dark and a bit droopy. "Give Her The Gun" and the title song are great songs. The album also has the best solos of the band's career. But we're far from a masterclass and it's hard to identify the band that made the record as the one that made "Holy Diver".

Good album by Dio

Average heavy shit, bit too heavy to be honest.

Dio's Strange Highways is a heavy and languid, almost unnecessary sequel to Black Sabbath's Dehumanizer. Although the album does not convince as a whole, the song material is mostly of high quality and worth a try, especially for those who appreciated the atmosphere and sound of Dehumanizer.

급격히 떨어진 템포에 팬들의 평가 역시 뚝 떨어지고 말았습니다. 둠메탈을 연상케하는 느릿한 진행에 Dio 의 우렁찬 보이스는 전혀 어울리지 않습니다. 분명 Dio 의 존재감과 영향력, 실력은 확고하며 부동하나 매체, 매니아들에게 언급되는 히트넘버와 명반, 숫자만으로 단순비교 했을때 '밴드' Dio 가 불리한것은 그저 불운이나 우연이 아니란걸 빈번히 느낍니다.

나는 이 앨범이 왜 이리 욕을 먹는지 모르겠다. 물론 단점이 조금 눈에띄긴 하지만 그렇다고 이렇게까지 별점테러를 당할 앨범은 아닌데..

Probably Dio's worst album at the time, but it's still pretty good. Give Her the Gun is a fantastic track.

내가 디오 빠 이기도 하겠지만 이런 디오의 음악도 나쁘지 않다. 좀더 헤비하고 밑에 어느 분이 언급했듯 템포 다운으로 둠 적인 느낌을 준것도 좋았다. 아직 전성기를 달리던 그 보컬이야 말 할 필요도 없고. 무엇보다 이때나 지금이나 "라우드"함을 "헤비"함으로 착각한 어설픈 헤비사운드나 내는 밴드들에 비해 제대로된 헤비메탈을 들려주기 때문이다.

무엇을 표현하고자 했는지 모르겠다.

Black Sabbath 때의 Dehumanizer의 속편이라 생각하면 된다. 분노, 칙칙함, 인간의 극단적인 감정을 최대치로 풀어냈다.후에 Angry Machine 보다는 휠씬 낫다.

디오를 좋아하는 사람들에게 엿먹인 원투 펀치중 하나. 진짜 독특한걸 떠나서 2번 듣기 싫어진다.

디오를 너무나도 좋아하지만 이 앨범만큼은 싫다.

제목처럼 너무 Strange하다. 디오 빠돌이지만 이건 영...

재미있는..앨범...상당히 만족스럽다
