My first time trying this band, and I'm impressed. I'll bet Dream Theater fans will like this album. Is it just me, or does the singer sound like he's even better when singing in English?

최근 Serenity in Murder를 통해 일본밴드의 위상을 다시 한 번 느끼게 되어 올 상반기 말에 나온 해당 작품을 뒤늦게 접했다. 오프닝곡인 The Howling Darkness를 듣고 매우 인상적이어서 뒤에 나올 곡들 또한 엄청날 것이라고 예상했는데 이 한 곡 외에는 전형적인 일본식 오글거리는 Power Metal이라 식상했다

가끔가다 살짝 오글거리는 사운드만 빼고는 근래 들은 앨범 중 손에 꼽을 정도로 수작이다. 분량과 퀄리티만 보면 정규앨범과 EP를 나누는 기준이 무엇인지 약간 의아하지만 적어도 이 앨범에서는 그런 기준이 적용되지 않는 것은 확실하다.

지린다는 말은 이럴때 쓰는구나. 뭔가 가슴이 폭발할 것 같은 이 느낌! 미친 연주들 미친 멜로디. 정규앨범보다도 퀄리티가 높다니... 갈넬을 알게해준 메탈킹덤에 감사드린다!

라이브와 뮤비로 먼저 공개되었던 2번과 6번을 듣고 다소 실망했는데 나머지 곡들이 훨씬 더 좋다. 야마비시절의 어두운 느낌으로 다시 돌아가는 것 같아 마음에 든다. 나는 상쾌한 제이팝 특유의 멜로디를 좋아해서 그런지 5번을 베스트 트랙으로 꼽고 싶다.

선공개 2번 트랙을 듣고 힘이 잔뜩 들어갔던 키즈나의 뒤를 이을 거라 생각했는데, 힘이 빠지고 여유와 노련함을 강조한 작품이 나왔다. 매너리즘을 지적할 수도 있겠지만, 천하의 오노 보컬이 슬슬 노쇠함이 느껴진다는 평도 곁들여 볼 수 있겠다. 7,8번은 원곡을 뛰어넘지 못했다. 더 괜찮을 수도 있었던 8번 트랙이 이렇게 맥아리 없이 녹음된 건 아쉬운 부분
