No Prayer for the Dying Comments

Truly a weaker album, but still not a disaster in my opinion. Returning to a simpler and flashier presentation was a mistake, there's no getting away from it. A few decent songs, such as the title track with great melodies. But a really big disappointment. Nothing lasts forever.

This didn't work out very well

This is where I think Maiden lost touch a bit, even though the title track, Bring Your Daughter... and Mother Russia are rather nice tunes. Also Tailgunner is ace. The rest is more or less so-so. This is one of those Maiden albums that is least in rotation from my record collection.

The worst with Bruce on vocals.

연주를 들으면 늘 듣던 아이언 메이든이고 부분 부분 멋있네 하기도 하지만 종종 라이브에서 하는 2번 9번도 그렇게까지 손꼽으며 듣는 곡은 아니다. 이 앨범은 마치 각 앨범에서 제일 떨어지는 곡이 모인 그런 느낌이다. 그래도 졸작은 아니라 생각하고 좀 쉴때가 된 느낌. 1-7까지 꾸준한 작곡 후유증이라고 생각한다.

Probably Maiden' weakest album along with Virtual XI. They went for the raw sound of their first two albums on this one and it was a step in the wrong direction, leading to Adrian's departure from the band. They should have continued in the progressive direction they had on SiT and SSOASS. Best tracks here are the title track, Mother Russia, Run Silent Run Deep & Holy Smoke. The Assassin is one of the weakest songs by them. Track #8 & #9 are very cheesy.

연륜이 넘치는 아이언메이든표 헤비메탈 퍼레이드. 영광의 1980년대를 지나 1990년 포문을 연다. 애드리언 스미스가 탈퇴하고 야닉 거스가 바톤을 이어 받았다. 이정도면 훌륭하다. holy smoke, bring your daughter... to the slaughter 는 언제 들어도 죽여준다.

Some great songs but disappointing after their previous albums

Not a classic but it does have the greatest no 1 of all time.

어느 정도 성공을 맛봐서 일까 이 정도 만들면 알아서 듣겠지하는 자신감에서 만든 앨범일까

전작이 무게 잡고 진득하게 감상해야 하는 앨범이었다면, 본작은 생각없이 틀어놓기에 좋은 앨범이다. Tailgunner부터 타이틀 트랙인 No Prayer for the Dying까지는 정말 훌륭하며, 중반부 곡들 역시 무난하게 들을 수 있다. Bring Your Daughter... To the Slaughter는 본 앨범에서 가장 빛나는 곡이다. 준수한 작품이지만 이전까지의 작품들이 너무 명작이라 묻히는 감이 있는 앨범.

The first misfire by Maiden

EMI직배로 발매된 카세트를 구입하여 늘어질 때까지 들었던 앨범. 혹독한 사전 검열이 존재하던 당시에 2곡 밖에 안짤린 것은 고마운(?) 일이랄까, 세간의 평가가 좋지 않은 앨범이지만, 개인적으론 추억보정인지 상당히 좋아함. 특히 Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter는 Iron Maiden 곡 중 최고라 생각

Nem kiemelkedő album, de egységesek a számok rajta.

Maiden lose some of their flair and progressive sheen, opting for a simpler, stripped back approach. Certainly weaker than the slew that came before it, but by no means a bad album. Some very strong songs here.

타 앨범에 비해 크게 떨어지지는 않는 괜찮은 메이든표 앨범.

괜찮은듯 하면서도 아쉽기도 한 앨범입니다. 그래도 1번트랙은 메이든 노래중에 5번째로 좋아해요.ㅋ

좋은 아이디어가 없을때 억지로 창작물을 쥐어짜내면 매력없는 애매한 결과물이 나오는 경우가 많은데, 그래서 이 형님들도 그런상황이 아니었을까 하는 생각을하게 만든 앨범입니다. 억지로 장엄한 리프들을 만들어 넣은 곡들인 느낌입니다. 기타리스트의 교체가 영향이있었던것인지 모르겠지만 아이언메이든이기때문에 여러모로 아쉬움이 많이남는것입니다.

브루스 디킨슨의 보컬 상태는 더 나빠졌고 이전까지의 메이든의 음악에 비해 뭔가 허전하고 비는 느낌은 지울 수가 없다. 그래도 여전히 메이든의 음악다운 수려하면서도 중독적인 멜로디가 있고, 타이틀 곡부터 Fates Warning까지의 곡은 (굉장히 주관적인 견해로는) 꽤 괜찮은 곡이라 생각한다

Long live iron maiden :) !!!!!!

특유의 까칠까칠한 사운드마저도 난 마음에 든다.

A bit weaker than their streak of amazing releases. Still, these guys are Iron Maiden. This means there still are a bunch of catchy tunes and sing along choruses for your pleasure.

1, 2, 3, 9는 정말 좋아한다 나머지는......
