Capitol Punishment는 앞에 두고 꽤나 많은 Megadeth 팬들은 고민했을 것 같다. 팬이라면 당연히 이들의 전집을 샀을 테지만 Kill the King과 Dread and the Fugitive Mind라는 명백하기 새로운 곡이 눈에 띄기 때문이다. 이 두 곡이 어중간한 곡이라면 베스트 앨범따위야 그냥 개의치 않고 넘기면 그만이다. 그러나 두 곡은 전성기 명곡들 못지 않은 고퀄리티의 곡들이다. 이들의 팬이라면 지나치기 힘든 부분이 있다. 하지만 본리뷰에서 분명하게 밝히는데, 이 앨범의 구매는 돈을 버리는 거나 마찬가지라고 본다. 새로운 곡의 유혹때문에 마음에 걸릴 수도 있지만, Capitol Punishment는 Megadeth의 첫 공식라이브 앨범 Rude Awakening의 존재로 인해 의미를 상실하고 만다. Rude Awakening의 서두에서 두 곡은 라이브 버전으로 수록되어 있어서 이 앨범을 사는 것은 돈만 버린 셈이 된다. 혹 누군가는 이 앨범의 가치를 입문용으로서 옹호할지도 모르지만, 개인적으로 생각해 봤을때 Capitol Punishment는 입문용으로도 쓸모가 없다. Megadeth의 입문용으로는 차라리 이들 최고의 명반인 Rust in Peace나 초심자도 듣기 수월한 Countdown to Extinction이나 Youthanasia가 차라리 더 낫다. Megadeth 입문자라고 하면 그냥 정규 앨범을 듣고 이들의 음악세계에 익숙한 팬이라면, 라이브 앨범을 듣는 것 ... See More

Good 11 - 처음 메탈에 입문하게 만든 베스트 앨범. 그때 왜 정규가 아닌 이 앨범을 집었냐면 붙어있던 스티커의 홍보문구에 낚였었다. 하지만 처음 곡을 틀자마자 나오는 "Kill the King"의 리프는 충격... 그 자체였다. 특히 1,2,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,16번 트랙 추천

베스트 편집엘범으로 함께 공개된 신곡 1,2 번이 괜찮았다. Capitol Record에서의 기억이 삭제되는 듯한 연출의 히든트렉이 재미있었다.

이미 러스트인피스로 입문한 상황이었기에 나에게 베스트앨범의 필요성은 없었다. 킬더킹만 없었어도 이 앨범은사지 않았을 것이다.
