창의력이 넘치는 밴드를 찾아낸다는 것은 큰 즐거움이다. 나에게는 Chapel of Disease나 Slice the Cake, Mechina가 그랬다. 앞의 두 밴드가 최근 차례로 해체해서 아쉬움을 곱씹던 와중 발견한 것이 이 앨범이다. AOTY에서 1위를 달리고 있는 이 앨범은, 그 저력에 맞게 창의적이고 동시에 짜임새 있는 음악을 들려준다. 특히나 테크니컬 데스 메탈이 아님에도 베이스가 앞으로 종종 나온다는 점과, 디소낸트 데스 메탈이 아님에도 적절히 등장해주는 불협화음들이 인상적이다. 카테고리에 얽매이지 않을 정도로만 적재적소에 현대 데스메탈의 요소를 잘 섞어놓은 올드스쿨 데스의 느낌이 난다.

Powerful nod-your-head riffs in Pavor Nocturnus, Monarch, and Heaven's Deceit, to the powerful epitome of a hard day's work done, Titan, clipping the album off with beautiful lyrics about the sweet release of deathly slumber.
