가톨릭과 사도 정교회의 성자들로부터 영감을 얻는 아방가르드 블랙메탈 밴드 비잔티움. 비잔티움의 데뷔앨범 A Seamless Robe는 따져보면 참 블랙메탈같지 않은 앨범이다. 일단 멜로디부터 어둡기보단 밝은쪽에 가까우며 노래들의 가사 또한 기존 블랙메탈이 주로 다루던 사악한 내용이 아닌 성자 Anthony의 삶과 고행 중 만난 악마의 공격에 대한 이야기이다. 사운드적으로는 기타, 드럼, 베이스 뿐만 아니라 키보드, 플루트, 바이올린까지 사용하며 상당히 멜로딕한 악곡을 보여준다. 부담스럽지 않으며 신나서 한번 들어보기에 나쁘지 않다. 89점.
