Dreams Of Sanity는 3세대 Gothic Metal의 선두주자로 데뷔작 Komodia로 크게 알려졌다. 본작 Masquerade은 데뷔작의 출중한 완성도를 한층 업그레이드한 역작으로 Tilo가 게스트로 참여하기도 하였다. 듣기 편한 팝적인 멜로디를 들려주지만 결고 가볍지 않은 깊은 음악성도 엿볼 수 있는데 대곡 성향의 프로그레시브한 진행도 빼놓을 수 없다. 저 유명한 '오페라의 유령' 주제곡을 리메이크한 The Phantom Of The Opera, 거대한 극적 구성이 돋보이는 Masquerade act 1 등을 수록하고 있다.
