장르의 경계를 나름대로 융통성 있는 전개를 보여주는 Ash Borer의 1집 입니다. 장르를 넘나드는 영역은 생각외로 아주 깔끔하면서도 리드미컬한 흐름이 이 밴드의 전체적인 변화와 변칙적인 전개를 완성시키지 않았나 싶습니다. 여기서 말하는 블랙메틀의 사운드는 약간 건조한 편이며 이하 둠메틀 사운드는 전형적이면서도 약간 올드적인 느낌과 둔탁함을 최대한 끌어올린 흔적이 엿보이는 편입니다. 블랙메틀과 둠메틀의 좌/우 멜로디의 조화를 최대한 잘 맞춘 수작이라 보여집니다. 필청!
