-Pain of Salvation의 마지막 모습... Scarsick-
꽤 실험적인 곡들이 많이 담긴 앨범이다. 1번 트랙 'Scarsick'의 강렬함과 3번 트랙 'Cribcaged'의 처절함, 4번 트랙 'America'와 5번 트랙 'Disco Queen'은 라이브에서 진가를 발휘한다. 실험적이지만 결코 나쁘지않은, 결과물이라고 볼 수 있다. 나도 처음에 들었을 때 많이 실망했다. 2,3집과 같은 전개를 바랬지만, 이 앨범은 앞의 앨범들과는 사뭇 달랐다. 하지만 계속 듣다보니 이들의 실험정신이 느껴졌고, 다시한번 Daniel Gildenlow의 천재성에 감탄했다.
이 앨범을 끝으로 이때까지의 밴드 방향을 다르게 잡는데, 나는 여기까지가 Pain of Salvation의 전성기라고 생각한다. 최근 나온 앨범들을 보면 씁쓸하다.

Pain of Salvation za dobu svojej existencie vydali veľké množstvo albumov, pričom niektoré zanechali výraznú stopu na prog. metal-ovej scéne. Nové album "Panther" opäť spĺňa definíciu slova progresívny, to je byť pokrokový, skúšať nové možnosti a nápady.
