Cosmicism 90/100
The bleak and tragic feel of this album is so overwhelming but also romantic in a perverse way. Déhà on drums is absolutely a good sign. I heard these guys relocated to Poland. I gather life has been hard in Belarus in recent years, so I wish all the best to the Dymna Lotva members in case there is any oppression involved. Sep 10, 2023

Low energy and uninteresting melodies. The lyrics would make an 11-year-old embarrassed that he liked it when he was 10. Also, Fred can't even speak English despite being a native speaker. The sound production is all right. The only passable part is when Snoop Dogg is involved, but not as good as Snoop's regular music. Sep 10, 2023

My pick of the day. It is so easy to get into the mood for such a sepulchral, cavernous, Stygian kind of sound. Isn't a lot of the best music in the past year actually very scary? Anyway, this side project is pure genius. I should look into their other bands as well. Sep 6, 2023

I didn't know these 3 guys were such serious musicians, and it's so uplifting to see them getting along - There's really hope for the world. Anyway, tons & tons of energy here. The bass is insane, and the Latin music and Spanish guitar make a great combination with such progressive metal. Of course the drums are great too. Total class act. Sep 6, 2023

Slightly better than the previous album but I can't quite rank it 85/100. I would if there weren't too many fade-ins & fade-outs taking away opportunities for more ambitious compositions. The positive side is that it's a much longer album, but it didn't feel long at all. Sep 6, 2023

Very good symphonic metal with haunting tinges of death metal & gothic metal. I was enjoying what I was listening to, and then the last few songs really blew me away with their even greater emotional weight and more captivating melodies. The title track in particular is a real gem. Sep 4, 2023

Thank you Boréalys for bringing me to my happy place (of despair). I can't imagine any song being any better; if there was more variety in song structure I would maybe consider a perfect score. Also, the melodies really stay with me. Sep 4, 2023

Very Ministry in style and done super well. Also there's drum & bass. I was in pure bliss for this music. Some might be annoyed by the last 2 'sample' tracks, but they're at the end to make it easy for those who want to skip them, so I'm not detracting any points for that. Sep 4, 2023

Well done on all fronts. To me it sounds like groove metal but not industrial. Not amazing but definitely good. Sep 4, 2023

I find it slightly better than Zeit, but not as good as Rosenrot - also nowhere near their best albums of pure genius. Sep 4, 2023

Here's a good album. Simply good is kind of low by Katatonia's standards, but those guys are not quite human, right? Sep 4, 2023

With such a corny title and a new singer, I was suspicious about the quality. However, everything was good - especially track 4. Sep 4, 2023

Very solid album with great variety. Sometimes death metal, sometimes there's clear Tool influence. Now I have a million and one metal bands to catch up with. Sep 4, 2023

"We are still %*#~ing ice!!!" after all these years. The same feeling but a lot better than their previous album. This one put me in a great mood. Also, it'll cool you off on a hot day. Sep 2, 2023

I'm so impressed; all the problems that chronically plague metalcore are not on this album. All the instruments are well played, and the clean vocals have a clear refreshing sound. Good job All That Remains guys. I look forward to listening to your music more. Sep 2, 2023

So emotionally powerful and furious. This is atmospheric BM done so well, while exploring the genre's variety. At one point I hear influence from Severoth. Anyway, I just loved this from start to finish. So close to moving up to 100/100. Aug 31, 2023

The first half of this album has some great melodies, and the guitars and vocals both sound awesome. The lyrics are mostly immature and sometimes I was rolling my eyes. Toward the end of the album the songwriting gets lazy & unmotivated and nothing flows right. Also, Remember Everything is pure butt rock, in other words very bad. Still, there are some very good songs, and I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I was going to. Aug 31, 2023

The clean vocals are really annoying and the harsh vocals sound like barf. There are some great Kirk-Hammett sounding solos and there are very nice guitar segments here and there. The good elements aren't enough to bring this one over 50% though. It became hard work to finish listening. Just an average album. Aug 31, 2023
Cosmicism 65/100
The harsh vocals are good and the drumming is great. Unfortunately, the clean vocals are cringeworthy, the melodies & composition are lame, and there are rookie mistakes such as tacked-on string sections. Even the trance fails because it's not well integrated (a disappointment, because I was looking forward to it). Not good, and I don't want to listen again. Aug 31, 2023

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
