Focused on Scottish ghost stories as a theme, and yes there are bagpipes. All the traditional instrumentation works very well in this album - it's 100% integrated and not tacked on. I think the singer can perfect his delivery a little, and maybe the compositions could benefit from more nuance, but these guys are heading in the right direction for sure. I'm giving it the same score, but I like Individual Thought Patterns a tiny bit more. I really appreciate the songwriting on this one, and Chuck's vocals give it great passion. This album with perfect cover art came right onto my stereo and blew me away with its sweeping dramatic and rather Drudkh arrangements. It was already ecstasy, but then the songs ended in these powerful culminations, especially the first track, and I realized I was in atmospheric perfection territory. It makes sense now looking back at their discography, but I only knew them from their 2022 EP, so now I'll think of Aethyrick as one of the major current BM bands.   Apr 14, 2023

I love this band. This release's instrumentation is more articulate and nuanced than 99% of black metal, and it's control of atmosphere & mood is greater than 99% of not-black-metal. This is the 2nd atmospheric album with Burzum influence I listened to today, and it's songwriting is even better than the other one. 95-100 2024년까지 나온 오케스트라와의 협연 음반 모든 것을 통틀어 최고다. 다 어설픈 편곡때문에 그냥 원곡 듣고 말지 라는 생각이 드는 반면 이 음반은 최소 제대로 만들어진 영화음악 하나 들었다 할 정도로 편곡자체가 매우 잘 되어 밴드와 오케스트라가 제대로 융화 예상과 달리 스튜디오로 앨범을 냈지만 dvd 2disc를 사면 라이브 시디가 포함되어 있는 듯 하다.   3 days ago
