Another absolutely captivating atmospheric album for 2022. This one has some raw and some depressive for some nice variety. It's also full of bopping. Jul 19, 2022

It's like my hands are moving on their own and replaying this album again and again and again since I first heard it in June. Solidly atmospheric genre-wise. In terms of feeling, it conveys mysticism, paganism, and nostalgia through even just instruments. The vocals are also on point. Try to listen just once, and see what happens with that. Jul 18, 2022

Naaaaaaaaasty in it's bogged-down heaviness. So it's mostly super slow, and a couple moments of mid-tempo. You might want to reserve it for when you're in the right mood. Lots of melody, and the guitar textures are amazing. Super powerful music. Jul 17, 2022

One of my favorite Rammstein albums. The variety is astounding, and the passion is near or equal to their highest level. It's hard to pick a favorite, so it's easiest to say the title track is not as excellent as the rest. Jul 17, 2022

These djentlemen really know what they are doing. The complexity is great and the grooves are plain ecstasy. The deathy vocals and the pretty pervasive harshness is not my favorite combination with prog, but that's just my taste; I still appreciate expertly-made music from a really dedicated group like Meshuggah. It's a great mix of 90s and more current sounding black metal. The feelings in this guitarwork go straight into the heart. Jul 16, 2022

These guys play some extremely challenging music. Everything gets so fast including the singing. It's not my style, but I see why so many people review it so well. Also, respect to the guys. I hope their wrists and palms are OK. Jul 16, 2022

I can enjoy it a little but not a ton. I can hear how it's a big point in death metal history, but the album has a lack of variety. Jul 16, 2022

Some songs early in the album needed a few more takes to get the singing just right, I think. Most of the album is totally exciting with top-notch songwriting. Rest in peace Wayne Jul 16, 2022

Many angry and aggressive moments, but also many complicated moments for just enjoying the intricacy. This band is very consistent throughout its discography. Jul 15, 2022

Just 33 minutes, but it's so full of quality music. I'm sure this is very hard music to play, but I still get the feeling of a bunch of guys having fun together while playing. Jul 15, 2022

Black metal full of despair, ambient, symphonic evil, and then straight up medieval. This album combines all these to great effect. The medieval romp is really invigorating. Jul 15, 2022

The vocals can get pretty hard to listen to, but I love the riffs. Jul 14, 2022

So lo-fi that it takes phenomenal songwriting to make it a good album. That's what Welcome to Sky Valley has. So enjoyable and sexy too. (not that joke song / last track though). Jul 14, 2022

Whoah. That's what I'm talking about. Heavy as hell, bluesy as bruises, and 10 million tons of attitude. Kinda like Black Label Society, but I've never heard them as good as this. As long as the music is this good, I can see how the soul of a stoner and the soul of straightedge are the same. Jul 14, 2022

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
