This one is kind of a mess, mixing Metalcore, Nu Metal, and Groove Metal. It is one of the earlier bands to do something like that, but unfortunately the result here is something excessively chuggy and heavy on the 0's (which I don't prefer).   Dec 14, 2024

On the brink of greatness. Some of the soundscapes here are magical, and the guitar leads have improved so much. Some actual Metal drumming is a much welcome change from the previous works. 아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025

The "Ram It Down" is a very underrated album, but in 1988 in the german Metal Hammer looked like a new classic by the soundcheck.Otherwise the "Ram it Down" and the "Hard As Iron"(with thundering riff) are great fast classic Priest songs.
