Here in After is a brilliant piece of work. Superb riffs, evil sounds and standard blasphemous Immolation lyrics, all in one album. Jul 11, 2015

This is a work of art that doesn't appeal to the non Black Metal&Shoegaze listeners. Well, at least for me. The album seemed just too bland and it was too repetitive to the point where it was boring. Great mood they pulled out though, that's for sure. Jul 11, 2015

It's hard to find a band that constantly comes up with high quality material. Needless to say, Rush did it again. Presto shows more of a guitar oriented sound, and the result is amazing. Still very progressive and all in all great work! Jul 11, 2015

Hold Your Fire marks the end of their synth-heavy era. The songs are really strong but I wish they've done a more guitar oriented work. Still, it's an amazing album, which is the important part, isn't it? Jul 11, 2015

Thoroughly enjoyable Prog DM album from France! I love how their song progresses; It seems like it follows a form but then it breaks your anticipation and presents a totally unexpected progression. Lyrical content? These guys sing about whales, space, the environment and stuff in the most Prog-Deathy way ever. Great stuff! Jul 11, 2015

Let's just say that Gojira are really creative. Their creativity makes possible a whole new feeling that Death Metal can give off. Really unique stuff. Jul 11, 2015

A timeless classic. OS Death which inspired a lot of new gen bands. The evilness just seeps through your skull! Jul 11, 2015

Brutal and awesome Black Metal. Really good production quality, which makes an amazing listen. Jul 11, 2015

Cool melodic power metal album, with the strong melodic structure leading the whole album. The thing is, I didn't really approve the non-metal tracks(which sometimes sounded awful) breaking the stream of powerful tracks. Not the type of album I could listen to on a frequent basis. Jul 8, 2015

Aww yeah! The crazy heavy tone and deathvocals generate a crazy heavy atmosphere , contributing to an evil, or even satanic sound. This is how DM should be done. I think this is Immolation's strongest work. Jul 8, 2015

Morbid Angel is a band that amazes me with every album. Now, the change of style was drastic in Illud Divinum Insanus which shed a lot of Death Metal aspects seen on their early work. But in my humble opinion, they're doing great with their new style. Tracks like Too Extreme or Radikult show strong Industrial Metal influences while songs like Blade For Baal are more on the heavy side. Enjoyed it! Jul 8, 2015

Excluding the last few tracks, Heretic is a decent album. There were some parts that had some room for improvement, but overall the album was pretty strong material. I hope they had done some more work embellishing the album. Jul 7, 2015

Gateways to Annhiliation shows a more technical rendition of the standard Morbid Angel heaviness. Love the fking heavy guitar tone that sometimes sound even sludgy. Jul 7, 2015

Still doing really strong after a major lineup change, Morbid Angel's F album proved to be an A. It's brutal and damaging to your ears as always, making an overall amazing album. Some of the songs' intros are really "evil". Jul 5, 2015

Cool old school DM album, done really well for a first album. A strong dark ambience permeates through the monstrous songs, making such an evil sound. Jul 5, 2015

Slightly better than alpha, but still very icky. Periphery-style Djent isn't for everyone I guess. Jul 5, 2015

Djent with a bunch of clean vocals is not everyones' cup of tea. No siree. Jul 5, 2015

One of the highly influential records that is claimed to have started Death Metal. The increased brutality, speedy riffs, blasphemous lyrical content make an otherwise raw Death Metal feeling. Jul 5, 2015

This right here? Some good Power Metal work. The riffaging is really enjoyable, and the songs are generally well paced. On the other hand, all of the songs seem to follow the same structure and formula. It might sound stale after listening for a while. Jul 5, 2015

Brutal Death had reached its apex at a very early time in the early 1990s. Effigy Of The Forgotten is one of those markers, along with albums like None So Vile. Jul 5, 2015

What a killer record! They've done really good work, with the authentic OSDM feeling percolating the whole album. Jul 5, 2015

A Classic Metallica album, full of cool songs and riffs. The drumming is a bit light for Thrash Metal, but the guitar/basswork are amazing. Jul 4, 2015

Perfecto! Raw & speedy material. This is more Speed Metal than Thrash. Songs like The Four Horsemen and Seek&Destroy are pure goodness. Jul 4, 2015

Really straightforward, Morbid Angel-signature Death Metal. With great guitar riffs and vocalwork, the ingenuity Morbid Angel put in to their early albums is mind boggling. The alphabetical streak haven't lost its power! Jul 4, 2015

Epic sophomore effort by Morbid Angel. More emphasis on the Death Metal aspects that the previous record, and they've done it really well. The early '90s Florida Death Metal scene ruled! Jul 4, 2015

Cool trad metal with a tinge of power metal to it. Good memorable riffs from time to time. The sucky vocals sound quite fun after a few listens. Jul 4, 2015

This is straight on amazing; One of the best studio efforts by Kataklysm. Very straightforward yet abrasive DM. Death Metal during the 2000s were alive and well. Jul 4, 2015

It takes some time for the riffs to stick in your head because it's just so technical. Mike Disalvio's vocal style is hard to find in the realm of Brutal Death, but I think he does a decent job. Jul 2, 2015

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
