1988년에 Europe가 발표한 Out of This World는 전작 The Final Countdown의 대성공 이후 밴드가 쌓아온 멜로딕 하드 록 스타일을 그대로 이어가면서도 여전히 훌륭한 완성도를 자랑하는 작품이다. 혁신적인 변화보다는 기존의 사운드를 더욱 정교하게 다듬는 방향을 택한 것이 특징이다. 앨범은 Superstitious로 서두를 떼는데, 이 곡은 특유의 서정적인 멜로디와 강렬한 기타 리프가 조화를 이루며 Europe 특유의 달달한 감성을 유지하고 있다. Kee Marcello의 기타는 John Norum의 빈자리를 훌륭히 메우며 테크니컬한 연주를 선보이고, Joey Tempest의 보컬 여전한 매력을 자랑하고 있다. Let the Good Times Rock이나 More Than Meets the Eye 같은 곡들은 밴드가 여전히 에너지 넘치는 록 사운드를 유지하고 있음을 증명한다. 물론 전작 The Final Countdown과 비교했을 때 폭발적인 히트곡이 부족하다는 아쉬움이 있을 수도 있다. 하지만 Out of This World는 탄탄한 곡 구성과 걸출한 멜로디 메이킹 능력을 통해 Europe이 단순한 원 히트 원더가 아님을 증명한 앨범이다. 특별히 돋보이는 모험을 시도하지 않으면서도 자신들의 정체성을 지키면서 수준 높은 음악을 선보인 점에서 이 앨범은 여전히 유효한 가치를 지닌다.

사실 유럽하면 존 노럼 기타도 생각나게 하고 으레 칠만큼 치는 기타리스트 정도로 생각할 것이다. 하지만 이 4집과 5집에만 참여한 kee 의 기타를 더 유심하게 들을 필요있을듯. 주위에 한 친구가 존 노럼 기타가 잘치는건가? 하는 의구심을 나타낸 적이 있는데 오랜만에 superstious를 듣다가 라인이 워낙 좋아서 괜찮은걸? 했는데 존 노럼의 기타가 아니었다.

It is the first album to feature former Easy Action and Noice guitarist Kee Marcello. Four singles were released worldwide from the album: "Superstitious", "Open Your Heart", "Let the Good Times Rock", "More Than Meets the Eye".

평균치는 어지간한 밴드들 보다 낫습니다. 데뷔작부터 꾸준히 양질의 에우로페식 하드록을 들려주어 감사할따름입니다. The Final Countdown이 그냥 얻어 걸린게 아니라는 것을 증명하는 송라이팅. 화려한 기타 애드립과 솔로라인은 한번쯤 연주해보고싶게 만듭니다. 발라드트랙도 잘 뽑았고, 전체적으로 깔끔하게 잘 정돈해놓은 작품으로 근본과 감각 둘다잡았네요.

전체적으로 강약을 조절하여 앨범이 루즈하지 않게 진행된다. 굉장히 좋다고는 말못하겠는데 들을만한 가치는 충분히 있다고 말하고 싶다

celkom podarené album, aj keď menej výrazné a hitové ako predošlé albumy, čo bolo pravdepodobne následkom odchodu gitaristu - John Norum, ktorého nahradil Kee Marcello. Aj štýl posunuli niekde: Melodický Stadion/Hard Rock, miestami s pop elementmi
