스웨덴출신 데쓰메틀 밴드 히포크라시의 정규 10집 앨범으로, 데쓰메틀 특유의 사악함,광폭함을 잃지않으면서도 수려한 멜로디를 자랑하는 음반이다. 밴드의 리더이자 보컬과 기타를 맡고있는 Peter Tagtgren 이 모든 곡의 작사,작곡 에 관여하고 있다.전형적인 데쓰메틀 이라기보다는 멜로딕데쓰메틀과 전통데쓰메틀의 중간쯤 되는 음악을 들려주며, 전개-코러스-절정-코러스-결말 의 구조로 이루어진 곡이 대부분이어서인지 몰라도 뒤로 갈수록 약간 지루한 감이 들지만, 각 곡의 구조가 워낙 탄탄하고 가슴이 뻥~뚤리는 기타솔로 한방이 긴장감을 유지하는 데 어느정도는 기여를 하고 있다.

album "Virus" kombinuje novšie, ako aj staršie prvky kapely. Jedná sa o Death Metal kombinovaný s melódiami a tvrdšou stránkou žánru.

멜로딕 데스메탈이라는 장르의 이름에 가장 걸맞는 음악이다. 광폭한 보컬 무자비한 난타 그속에 숨겨진 은은한 멜로디 무슨 말이 더 필요한가? 메탈코어와 멜로딕 데스메탈의 경계가 많이 허물어진 요즘에 다시 들어보니 정말 감탄 나오는 앨범이다.

웅장함과 살벌함 하나는 화끈하게 살린 엘범. 특히 냉혈한적으로 날카로우면서 깊은 피터의 보컬이 기억이 남습니다. 속도감보다 그루브 메탈과 확실한 차이가 나는 묵직함에 집중한것도 맘에 들고 현대적 프로덕션도 맘에 듭니다. 하지만 옛날의 SF호러 분위기는 많이 사라졌습니다.

밑에분말씀대로 데스메탈에 멜로디를 정말 잘 엮어서 만든앨범. 피터의 작곡이 더할나위없이 빛을 바라는 앨범이다.

1세대 멜로딕데스메탈 밴드라고 할 수 있을 만큼 오랜 경력을 이어가며 자신의 음악 스타일을 크게 변하시키지 않고 이어가고 있는, 이들의 연륜이 느껴지는 괜찮은 앨범
