음악적인 명성은 드림 시어터와 함께 쌍벽이지만 상업적으로는 그 규모가 미치지 못한다는 게 이들의 대표작들에서 묻어나오는 느낌입니다. 상대적으로 조악한 느낌이 들긴 하는데 그것조차도 씹어먹을 정도의 박력과 테크닉, 응집력에 구성력까지 다 묻어나오는 이들의 최고 작품 중 하나라고 생각됩니다. Evolution (The Grand Design), Egypt, Rediscovery Part II를 명 트랙으로 꼽고 싶네요.

좋아하시는 트랙이 저와 정확하게 일치하네요. 드림 씨어터가 취향이 맞지 않아 듣지 않는 제 입장에서는 심포니 엑스가 딱입니다. 실낙원과 더불어 가장 좋아하는 작품입니다. 요즘은 이런 네오 클래시컬 사운드를 들려주기에는 너무 멀리 와버렸지만, 가끔 이 시절 사운드가 그립네요.
