One of the most satisfying sounds I've heard recently. Extremely atmospheric while keeping it very heavy for the whole combination, and the very well developed melodies and arrangements lend a feeling of great tragedy. The vocals are rather deathy despite it being black metal, but the guest vocalist is totally blackened, which I preferred. Either way, a great album from an amazing January.   Feb 1, 2023

This is super soothing and the sad melodies are really nice. I have a feeling that these guys are held back a little by how closely they resemble Summoning & Caladan Brood. On the positive side, these guys are total pros and they clearly love the power metal sound and give a good example of it. On the negative side, there isn't enough variety of feeling, and I do get that corny feeling. The songs themselves are all good. Quality & execution are the words that come to my mind on hearing this. It's so evil and played just so right that the emotions are screaming right into my brain whether the song is furious or eerie. Track 5 was one of my most played songs during the pandemic; I used to hear it before going to sleep multiple times every week. Now that I listen to the full album, I can verify this song is top level. Most of the other tracks are almost as good. The best songs by Lacuna Coil are truly masterpieces. This album has just a few tracks at that level and the rest are just pretty good. By my standards this is a very commercial release, but it's a shame the large record industry can't help them increase the quality of the other songs. What is the record industry good for? Their 1997 album was somewhat promising, but this one completely blew me away even though I expected it to be better than their earlier work. Rammstein made a huge splash when this album came out, and they deserve credit for that. Not all of the songs on this album are as excellent as Engel or Du Hast with its fiery riff, but it's still all good. Haunting doom that was a fantastic surprise this morning. I like how they centered this album on gothic doom while allowing traces of funeral doom, traditional doom, and death doom to surface tactically at the right moments. Good & energizing music with lots of variety. Actually these guys are quite the chameleons. I can hear Polyphia, Meshuggah, and probably more. It has a good energy to it, and the whole album is enjoyable. Not to squabble about sub-genres, but I hear industrial and gothic. Only the vocals are blackened, so I wouldn't even call it blackened metal. It's like recent Samael with gothic mixed in. Not quite original, but good.   Jan 24, 2023

This album does not get me that interested. I love Cthulhu, and it's cool that these guys are creating a multi-media project with a tabletop RPG. However, there are lots of soft folky parts where the composition feels weak for me, and the clean singing is not good to my ear. 어쿠스틱 기타, 첼로, 플루트 등을 이용하여 녹음한 어쿠스틱 사운드의 작품이다. 그러나 표현하고자 하는 사운드의 방향성 자체는 무겁고 진지하다. 멜로디가 약간 서늘한 냉기를 품고 있다. 더운 여름에 들으면 시원함을 느낄 수도 있지만 대체로 가을의 분위기에 잘 어울린다. 커버아트와 음악의 매칭이 절묘하다.   Nov 4, 2024

95-100 2024년까지 나온 오케스트라와의 협연 음반 모든 것을 통틀어 최고다. 다 어설픈 편곡때문에 그냥 원곡 듣고 말지 라는 생각이 드는 반면 이 음반은 최소 제대로 만들어진 영화음악 하나 들었다 할 정도로 편곡자체가 매우 잘 되어 밴드와 오케스트라가 제대로 융화 예상과 달리 스튜디오로 앨범을 냈지만 dvd 2disc를 사면 라이브 시디가 포함되어 있는 듯 하다.   3 days ago

훌륭한 데뷰. 1집을 꼭 사야 할까라는 생각으로 살다가 이제야 얻어걸린 느낌으로 사게 되었다. 물론 1집을 필수라고 여기지 않았지만 후회도 없다. 보컬이 멤버들보다 나이가 10여살 많은 걸로 기억하고 게디리의 좀 더 듣기 좋은 버전이라고 생각이 든다. 다만 믹싱이 마음에 들지 않아서 살짝 밋밋하다. 보컬과 드럼이 살짝 뒤로 간 느낌.리믹스가 절실하나 과연?   Nov 7, 2024
