Maybe this is just not to my tastes, but I feel like I'm waiting for an emotional point that does not come, and I only get heaviness. Maybe it's more enjoyable to you than it is to me. Jun 26, 2022

Respect to these guys for sticking with their theme and keeping it interesting. I think it's impossible to find anything negative on this whole album, so congratulations on the quality control. Nothing really astounds me or makes me swoon on this one, but I'd still have no qualms about hearing it again. Jun 26, 2022

A Pale December proves, with this album, that any kind of atmosphere can be great music. It sounds like a trip through dark thoughts, deadly places, and haunting experiences. They have their own unique style, but these songs still contain that recognizable essence of black metal. One of the best surprises of 2022. Jun 26, 2022

Cdonsensus on this one is cool with me. Some of the lyrics about dazzling and sparkling stuff feels corny, but the music's all awesome. A lot of the songs would work great on a classic rock radio station. They won't play them, but that's their stupidity. Jun 26, 2022

Not as good as their 2022 album, but their originality and the grooviness deep down in their souls help a lot to make it an enjoyable experience. Jun 26, 2022

Proficient instrumentation and production. I think they could've tried again to record these same songs and made the whole album a lot better. It sounds like they didn't wait for the passion to come before playing. The passion would've changed the tone of voice and the timing of the instruments and would've made it better. As it its now, it's just so-so in my opinion. Jun 26, 2022

Overall good music. While the singers' voices are very nice, they need to do a greater variety of things with those voices. This is a minor setback. It's still an enjoyable album from start to finish. Jun 26, 2022

As beautiful as gothic doom is supposed to be. Good songwriting and well executed. I find the second half of the album slightly better than the first. Definitely recommended. Jun 26, 2022

This death doom has a kinda bluesy and groovy element to it. It's very refreshing and unique. Their album cover conveys a certain sense of humor, and that sense echoes in their songwriting, which has a playfulness that is a real strength to this album. Jun 24, 2022

Good and solid black metal and the production sounds just right to me. In terms of songwriting, there's nothing particularly bad but I didn't find any moment that I totally loved. Maybe that's just me. Anyway, good first album by a rather new band. Jun 24, 2022

Super heavy and super raw, this was a blast of adrenaline. It starts well, but with track 6, Total Death Kult, the quality jumps up even higher. Obviously these guys have learned how to create harsh music. Jun 24, 2022

So powerful and beautiful, and played with such expertise including interesting and impressive drum work. This is maybe equal to Forgotten Paths (my favorite by Saor) or maybe even better. The sparse singing works so well, I think Andy has become a first rate songwriter over the years. It's hard to stop talking about this album. I love it. Jun 24, 2022

Props to Burzum for helping to create atmospheric black metal, but this was not as great as some make it seem. Track 1 is totally awesome, and the 2nd half of the final track is very nice. The rest of the album is just OK, and I think some of the guitar work in the middle of the album was just him playing around sloppily. In the end, still a good album. Jun 24, 2022

Consistently good music here, but the title track stands out for me as a real masterpiece. We Are Chaos gives the best definition of humankind, and it has a complex combination of melancholy and empathy. Also, production on this album is very good. Jun 22, 2022

The massive emotional impact this album had on me is something I'll never forget. Doom metal to make your skin crawl and very votive opera singing is quite a combination. Jun 22, 2022

This album is fast, furious, and harsh. His music usually feels hallucinogenic and otherworldly, but that's not the style this time. Still good though. Jun 22, 2022

I enjoyed every minute of it, but wasn't amazed by anything really. The singer's voice is super good though. Jun 20, 2022

Cathartic and dramatic, feeling like pagan black metal to me, I was really pleased with this one. The pain and grief implied through instrumentation and voice comes through very well. The album cover was screaming at me that it was an atmospheric album, but what do image files know, right? Anyway I’m glad I gave it a listen, and I can truly respect Orgg’s mature handling of the terrible topic of war. Jun 20, 2022

Good busy music as usual from Andromida. It's a great EP for starting your day. Jun 20, 2022

A lot of fun, and very heavy. Some teenager somewhere will give his parents indigestion when they see this album cover. Jun 20, 2022

Enjoyable heavy album that brought a smile to my face multiple times. Some songs in the first half remind me that metalcore is just not my thing, but the 2nd half of the album has so many awesome songs that I'll make an exception for these guys. I love the goth industrial elements on this album, and I appreciate their criticism of modern social and political diseases. Jun 20, 2022

Crunchy distortion fills your room, stuff gets doom-laden sometimes, and it puts you in a really psychedelic kind of place. It's a beautiful experience. Jun 20, 2022

In general I feel metalcore makes things phony, commercial, cringeworthy, and weak. Motionless in White surprise me with this album by filling it with tons of adrenaline, passion, and even humor. The explicit lyrics fit very well with their vibe, and the guitar work gets nice and classic sometimes. Glad I listened. Jun 18, 2022

Really really hard choice between 95 and 100. This a stupefyingly powerful EP by a one-woman band. The vocals are demonic and seething and the atmosphere is eerie and thicker than anything else in history. I absolutely need this artist to keep producing music. Jun 18, 2022

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
