Even a weaker live album than 1980's "Live At Last". It's incomprehensible how the original Black Sabbath line-up only got their first satisfactory live album in 2013. They deserved it earlier, or at least they should have left this pile of garbage unreleased. Bad production, the band sounds tired, full of mistakes and a boring cover. Depressing.   Dec 3, 2024

I have to be honest: Stratovarius' "Visions Of Europe" is probably the best live album of all time. Even better than one particular unnamed masterpiece recorded in Japan. The song list is great, but especially the band's live performance and Kotipelto's dazzling vocal performance make the album an unforgettable experience, a classic crowned with a great atmosphere. Quite a good collection, but to be honest I don't think the mixing of the songs is particularly brilliant and a few vital songs like 'Tornado Of Souls' are missing. Still, a good way to get to know the band, and was a personally important route towards trash metal.   Nov 24, 2024

"Black Diamond" was the first Stratovarius song I heard along with "Hunting High And Low". What could be said about the song? Perhaps you could describe the structure or quality of the song, but it's pointless. The most important thing is to understand that this is possibly the best song of all time, full of interesting instrumental sections and divine vocals. You shouldn't ask for anything else. Definitely one of the best songs by Stratovarius and the entire genre. "Eagleheart is catchy and memorable, yet suitably restrained and stylish. "Run Away" and the demo version of the title track don't evoke its more special feelings, but that doesn't really matter. "Eagleheart" is a great song, and perhaps the best song if you want to find a suitable song to get to know the band.   Nov 23, 2024

Sonata Arctica's first live album "Songs Of Silence - Live In Tokyo" is a rather mixed case. Singer Tony Kakko's singing voice is not optimal. The mixing of the album is also rather questionable. The song material naturally includes songs from the first 2 albums, and "Silence" in particular plays a big role. Recommended for Sonata fans and those who enjoy power metal, neither a classic nor a masterpiece in its genre.   Nov 13, 2024

A really, really strong live album. The whole band is on fire and the song list is excellent, covering the highlights of the band's entire history up to that point. A special mention must still be made of the singer Floor Jansen, whose vocal performance is one of the most amazing of all time. Definitely the best singer in the band's history. Definitely one of the best ever, in my opinion the best live album. Every member of the band is on fire and every moment is unforgettable and unique, from Ian Paice's massive drum solo to Ian Gillan's memorable vocal performance on 'Strange Kind Of Woman'. 자기복제에 빠진 프록메탈의 제왕. 삼십년의 세월을 거스를 수 는 없었는지 노력한 티는 많이 드러나나 성공적이었다고는 볼 수 없다. 존의 기타도 차력쑈 이상은 보여주지 못하고 있고 특히 포트노이는 익숙하고 반복적인 패턴의 드럼 필인만을 남발하여 곡에 전혀 도움이 되지 못하고 있다. 다음 작품이 제왕의 운명을 결정하지 않을까 싶다.   Mar 2, 2025

아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025
