Therapy? definitely dropped down a few tiers with this one. Some of the songs are just unpleasant and don't make much sense from a songwriting perspective, like they didn't know what they were doing. However, it's got a surprising amount of great songs hidden right smack in the middle as well. These can go toe to toe with their best. But as a hole, very unfocused.   Jan 21, 2024

This was a huge surprise to me! Pyogenesis capitalized on catchy songwriting, but added energy and emotion. It's passionate, catchy, and I couldn't stop coming back for more. Very enjoyable record, if you can get past the slightly unconventional vocal delivery (for this genre).   Jan 21, 2024

What a unique record. There are incredibly strong parts, mostly focused on the doomier sections with brilliant guitar harmonies. Unfortunately, we've also got jovial Folky stuff popping up to ruin the mood. Songwriting here just wasn't always working, but the parts that do hit, hit just right.   Jan 20, 2024

아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025

The "Ram It Down" is a very underrated album, but in 1988 in the german Metal Hammer looked like a new classic by the soundcheck.Otherwise the "Ram it Down" and the "Hard As Iron"(with thundering riff) are great fast classic Priest songs.
