A very solid reunition live album. The Atheist guys haven't lost their thing after all these years. The Wacken audience sure delivers a great ovation for one of Prog Death's greatest bands. Jul 15, 2015

The flow of tracks: From the long and proggy Achilles Last Stand to For Your Life's amazing bassline all the way to the catchy, fun riff of Royal Orleans and Nobody's Fault But Mine is perfect. Jul 15, 2015

I personally love the first portion of the album to death, but the second part, frankly, is kinda weak. It might just be because the first half was so solid. Anyways, all the hard rock, experimental parts, and chill riffs that LZ has to offer in this album is amazing! Jul 15, 2015

Mad skills, no juice. The individual songs aren't memorable all too much, though there are enjoyable parts intermittently. Jul 15, 2015

Bigger Than The Devil(which obviously is a reference/parody to Maiden) is a bit less Hardcore influenced and more Metal than their previous album which came out 7 years earlier. Nevertheless a brilliant album! It has lots of funny lyric bits that add the fun. Jul 14, 2015

Crossover thrash has always been a pleasureable listen for me. The two genres mashed together is what I can listen and headbang to mindlessly all day. This album is, I think, just the right one for that description. Love it! Jul 14, 2015

This album is sophisticated art riddled with ridiculous heaviness. The slow but ever changing flow of pace makes the album much more better. A masterpiece of Drone Metal. Jul 14, 2015

A heavy sodom approaches! Masquerade In Blood has a lot of Death Metal influences it seems; that, combined with Sodom style german thrash is quite a nice treat to listen to. Jul 14, 2015
Kildneybean 90/100
'90s Sodom had undergone a Punk influenced Thrash Metal phase, and It was just as amazing as their previous efforts. 'Til Death Do Us Unite has some really sick riffs to offer; some are thrashy and some are more melodic and punkish. Both are simply great, proving that Tom Angelripper's musical genius went nowhere. This album is the first to feature Jus's wife Liz Buckingham. And it should be said; it didn't affect the heaviness at all! It's as heavy as, if not more heavier, than the previous album. Awesome riffs presented in an overly downtuned, slow manner tells that this is, really, just another great Electric Wizard album. Jul 14, 2015

Houses of the Holy is pure awesomeness. The album has its ups and downs, with badass rock songs and sad songs and even reggae influenced songs mixed together. Jul 14, 2015

Led Zeppelin's fourth album is their magnum opus. It simply doesn't have a weak song. From the rocking first track Black Dog through slow, melancholy songs like Evermore and Stairway and atypical awesome songs like Four Sticks to the amazing last track When The Levee Breaks, it never loses the listener's attention. In the span of a year, Led Zeppelin had managed to put out three amazing albums. But they never lack quality; they're all genuine masterpieces to be frank. LZIII contains amazing songs on both sides of the LP, with the second side showing more of the band's experimental side. Jul 14, 2015

This album has it all! The four members' prowess really tie together the whole album and foretells the glory they're going to accomplish the next decade. Jul 14, 2015

Aw fucking some. One of the greatest albums of the Swedish Death Metal scene during the early '00s. Brutal, ripping, and deadly as hell! Jul 14, 2015
Kildneybean 85/100
A gem tainted by awful(raw?) recording quality. The songs' progression, structure and tempo are really well presented for a first effort. The album pulls out a blackened thrash feel in the rawest manner possible. Jul 13, 2015

Psalm 69 is an industrial metal album with a lot of thrash elements. It sounds like a thrashy Trent Reznor. Overall the album had satisfactory production, great riffs and heavy industrial sounds which made the songs sound much better. Jul 13, 2015

An old school live of old school songs. The audience must've been terrible though; they don't seem to cooperate very well. Other than that, this was a good live album. Jul 13, 2015

A decent Deathcore album, but by Cryptopsy? They should've kept loyal to their fanbase, and not have tried to appeal to the younger metal fans.
What they lost: brutality and fans.
What they gained: loss of brutality and fans. Jul 13, 2015

This is some high end thrash metal right here. It has some black metal-ish moments sporadically but the album is thrashy and overall great. Jul 13, 2015

Let Us Prey showcases a more darker side of Electric Wizard, with awesome Stoner-Doomy riffs giving the album an ambiance you won't hear in other records. Really, all the tracks are really well written and even the Piano-led "Night Of The Shape" contributes to the whole album's greatness. Jul 13, 2015

Not as crushing and musically interesting as Jane Doe, but still You Fail Me is a good metalcore album. Converge really converges Metalcore with other Metal elements very well. Jul 13, 2015

Black Metal has two common ways of generating an black metal atmosphere; one is by evil vocals and shredding guitars(Det Som En Gang Var), and one is by heavy repetition(Tomhet). So, In a nutshell, I think this record shows how Black Metal should be done. Jul 12, 2015

Really crispy Blackened Thrash. This album fuses the two genres in an absolutely wonderful fashion; at times brutal, at times speedy and thrashy, and at times blackish satan stuff. Just an awesome record. Jul 11, 2015

Probably the best album the year 1990 has to offer. I personally dislike Dave Mustaine(aka Megadouche) a lot and I wouldn't support him in any way, but man he can play guitar. This album deserves some points. Jul 11, 2015

Standard Swedish Melodeath album, reminiscent of myriads of other fellow Swedish Melodeath bands. Decent and sometimes quite nice riffs, non distorted melodic parts here and there, and those changing to parts where heavy guitar riffage lead the song. Just your usual stuff. Jul 11, 2015

Test For Echo shows more of a guitar riff heavy sound just like the predecessor Counterparts. I love every single track, man. Jul 11, 2015

Perfect. No room for improvement. All the songs are solid, the lyrics are really deep, and all three technicians explore their full potential. Pure genius! Jul 11, 2015

A deep, extremely well thought-out album by these Canadian geniuses. Rush during the 90s were also killer, weren't they? Jul 11, 2015

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
