Fistful of Metal

For me it's just somewhat good, but this is a band that deserves a true salute for taking this first step in a discography that goes to great places.

굉장히 Rough한 Anthrax의 데뷔앨범이다. Raw 하지만 패기가 넘치는 음악을 보여주고 있다. 7번 Death From Above 는 1978년에 발매된 Judas Priest의 Stain Class 곡을 많이 참고한 듯 하다. 2, 4번 추천.

이 앨범은 다시 재구입하지 않고 있었는데 지금 현시점에 느끼기엔 나쁘지 않다. 늘 among 앨범만 생각하다 보니 이 1집을 너무 오래간 지나친게 아닌가 싶다. 다시 구해볼까 한다. 빅4 중 여전히 느낌이 밝으나 그러면서도 꽤 거친 면도 있다. neil이 보컬이었었다는 사실조차 잊고 살았는데 더 늦기 전 구매하고 싶다.

Anthrax's "Fistful of Metal" offers a decent start for the band, but unfortunately it suffers from unevenness and poor mixing. While it doesn't live up to the standards of other thrash legends' debuts, it still offers a few songs that stand out. Overall, however, it is overshadowed by the band's best records.

Anthrax Is The AC/DC Of The Big Four.

빅4 중에서 가장 훌륭한 데뷔 음반이다.

Impressive debut from the least serious of the big 4. I was surprised how much edge they had here though - the humor they've been associated with is almost absent, the riffs are nice and the drums are fantastic.

Anthrax의 그야말로 원초적인 맛을 자랑하는 80년대 초기 스래쉬메탈. 헤비메탈,스피드메탈의 잔향이 짙다.

개인적으로 보컬이 약간 아쉽다.

그들이 와일드했던 시절.

이 앨범은 스래쉬라기보단 파워/스피드라고 보는게 맞지 싶다. 어떻건 간에 내용물은 상당히 좋음.

가장 Anthrax다운 앨범이지 않나 싶다. 솔직히 앤스랙스는 닐 터빈 목소리가 가장 어울란다고 보고 있고

이 앨범은 정통헤비메탈 사운드에 더 가깝다.첫 앨범치고는 들을만 하다.

꼬롱꼬롱한 80년대 스피드메탈의 향기가 진하게 느껴지는 앨범. 스래쉬적인 구석보다는 쌍팔 정통헤비/스피드메탈쪽이 좀 더 많이 보인다. 여타 밴드에 비해서 진중한 맛은 별로 없는것 같으면서도, 가끔씩 진지하게 터지는 한방이 있다.

Metal Thrashing Mad, Panic, Howling Furies 강추합니다.
