The whole thing is strong in melody & atmosphere. Even the ambient parts and post-rock moments are solid. I guess I was expecting it to surpass Bonebranches. Fun to revisit this album because it's a bit better than I remembered. It's clear these are the same 4 great musicians, but there's a few awkward parts and almost every chorus is not as good as the verse. Still mostly positive. My favorite track is Dandelion.   Jan 5, 2025

I started listening to Andromida long before I figured out what metalcore actually sounded like. Now, hearing songs like the instrumental version of Conquer, I'm reminded how I didn't foresee that anyone would have any negative views about metalcore or djent. I liked the whole thing and just wanted more and more. Still, I don't find it at the top tier of the metal world. Short dense albums like this one put noisegrind in as a contender for most extreme metal sub-genres. Unconventional and probably inaccessible for many, I'll bet. These are not really songs, but sections of one long work. It tells a sonic story very well, though a mysterious and Rorschach story. The tortured mood and post-apocalyptic soundscape are wonderful.   Dec 29, 2024

A bunch of flaws here. Too much silence and barely audible stuff at the beginning and the end. The clean vocals are not even singing; it's just a normal guy talking in a normal voice, and it's boring for me. Most songs need some trimming. However, there are some really inspiring moments, and at those times I can agree with the many fans of this release. Clearly, truly being about something can help an album.   Dec 29, 2024

아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025

Probably Judas Priest's most commercially successful album, and it's extremely good. The song material is brilliant, and if we forget the existence of "Pain And Pleasure" and "Fever", it's perfect. The "Hellion/Electric Eye" duo is still one of the greatest opening tracks in metal history. The production is tuned to exactly the level that a band of this class should have. And then there's Rob Halford. Absolutely phenomenal, a top-3 Priest album for me.   Mar 13, 2025

The song material is practically perfect and the album features perhaps the strongest band line-up in history. The last two songs are pure masterpieces.
