A very rough set of 4 songs. I like Curfew the most, but there's nothing I disliked. Mar 3, 2025

Starting with this album, it's that great bizarre, other-dimensional feeling that is now his trademark. Starting with track 6 the songs start having a lot more impact for me. Cool artwork too. Hail Esoctrilihum in whatever dimension he's currently in. Mar 3, 2025

A couple of cool songs by this dynamite band. Mar 3, 2025

It has some nice darkness and all, but I don't find much to hang on to in the instrumentation, so in the end it's kind of innocuous for me. Mar 3, 2025

Great EP from their punky origins. In Defence of Our Future is fantastic, and I can see why Mayhem covered it. Mar 3, 2025

Even if these are just tracks the 2 artists had lying around, they're still quite astounding. Elffor's track 1 is the atmospheric BM style we're used to, and track 2 is a soft non-metal one that's quite beautiful. Aeon Winds' are both black metal, and track 3 is my favorite of the split. Mar 3, 2025

This is a noticeable improvement on their 1986 album. The vocals are still in a bit of a rut, but not as much. The vocal style is a bit similar but it works much better, much more listenable. Skip the last 2 alternate mix tracks, but either way it's a decent album. Mar 3, 2025

Good debut by a nice & quirky artist, but bear in mind there is evil & pain too. Real black metal. Mar 3, 2025

Everything is so nice, but they play that Discharge cover even better than Discharge. The high point of the EP for me. Mar 3, 2025

Freezing & evil early album from Grafvitnir's formidable discography. Nice and melodic with some good speed, especially on that first track. Feb 24, 2025

Thank you armory for letting us know that you're working on a new album by releasing these 2 excellent songs. Feb 24, 2025

There's a lot of good moments in these 36 minutes, but unfortunately the first track drags down my score a bit. It sounds like the audio of an actual suicide video. I'd just skip it, now knowing this. However, the rest of the album is brutal & energetic with a great oompa part and trap beats worked in playfully. Feb 24, 2025

Quite impressed, and now that I learn of Malacath, I see they've been at it for quite some time. Definitely some depressive and atmospheric BM, but still kind of straight BM. Good music and nice cover art, especially how that lightning interacts with the logo. Feb 24, 2025

Overall, quite nice. The dirty war metal sound and deathy guitar melodies work very well, but a few tracks are a bit samey though even those tracks have something at their core. For me, the amazing surprise is that infectious last song. Still nasty & aggressive but it's a bit hypnotic too, and the abrupt ending was an excellent choice. In the end, you can just ignore this comment and look at the cover art instead. You'll know whether or not you'll like it. Feb 24, 2025

All the songs are good, but that 2nd track really touched my soul. Again, excellent work by Adam Burke on that painting. Feb 24, 2025

With that evocative album cover, they started off a career already at a high level. The playing sounds pro, and the songs range from good to fantastic. Feb 24, 2025

Over their career, the quality of their releases was son consistently excellent. Maybe this was the best, but I actually just want to keep cycling through the whole discography. What a great band. Feb 24, 2025

Look forward to a great variety of instruments and soundscapes that work up to a crashing drone metal finale. This is a real treat. Feb 20, 2025

Fantastic songs with tons of inspiration. I find it quite djenty even though it's clearly sludge. The singer has just the right touch at every moment, and the production just smashes the whole landscape. I really love this album. Feb 20, 2025

Radio stations want us to believe that Cult of Personality is the only song they ever wrote. I'm glad I listened to the whole thing, because there are tons of highlights. Great debut album. Feb 20, 2025

It's cool they released this even though it took a bunch of years. They evolved a great deal in the years between laying these tracks down and the release. Recommended to any Fear Factory fan. Feb 20, 2025

A very early EP from White Zombie and some of it is even listenable. The bad songs are bad in a way that doesn't offend me, feeling more like I'm hearing a local band that is getting the hang of things. The first and last songs might be worth a try. Feb 20, 2025

Great vocals, and good everything else. Some Iron Maiden influence I think. Feb 20, 2025

I just love the style of this album, and the instrumentation feels exact and expressive too. The more I listen, the more I want to hit play again. Definitely my pick of the last 2 days. Thank you Chain Cult. Feb 20, 2025

It reminds me of Deep Purple at times, but yes it's essentially death metal. Rather good too. Feb 20, 2025

It's epic heavy metal, but it has these melancholic and sinister tones that epic metal almost never has. Quite solid album. Feb 20, 2025

Impressive and there's enough passion that you can feel close to the musicians, like being in the same room. The intriguing cover art works well with the mood of the songs. I like this a lot, and I want more from this band. Man, they've smashed onto the scene. Feb 20, 2025

It's a cool demo. The title track is decent. The 2nd track is all right, but the version of this song on their 2024 EP is a ton better. Now that they have a live drummer who is quite amazing, this is a band to keep in the forefronts of our minds. Feb 20, 2025

Mar 30, 2025

I'm pretty sure this is the best debut in history. Sonata Arctica immediately does what they do best and the result is amazing. "FullMoon" is a great song. Mar 11, 2025

Great album but not at the level of the debut in my opinion. The band tries a bit of progressive direction with pretty good results, although some songs are quite weak. The end of the album is great. Good job Sonata! Mar 11, 2025

DT caught my attention with their previous album and this one confirms my thoughts on them. I´m not so fond of their old stuffs but these 2 keep me on my feet and I will go back to them regularly. Mar 12, 2025

4 days ago

Like "Silence", only 1000 times better. The band's absolute best album. Not all the songs are masterpieces, but the best ones are incredible and the atmosphere of the album is epic. Mar 11, 2025

그 나이에 이게 데뷔앨범 이라는게 믿기지 않는다...다만 이때 모든 힘을 쏟은 것일까...ㅠ Mar 12, 2025

Probably Judas Priest's most commercially successful album, and it's extremely good. The song material is brilliant, and if we forget the existence of "Pain And Pleasure" and "Fever", it's perfect. The "Hellion/Electric Eye" duo is still one of the greatest opening tracks in metal history. The production is tuned to exactly the level that a band of this class should have. And then there's Rob Halford. Absolutely phenomenal, a top-3 Priest album for me. Mar 13, 2025

Rainbow leaves classic hard rock behind with their second album and begins to create the beginnings of the genre that would later be called power metal. The song material is practically perfect and the album features perhaps the strongest band line-up in history. The last two songs are pure masterpieces. If melodic old-school heavy metal with incredible vocal performances interests you, now you know where to look. Legendary! Mar 15, 2025
