Very strong stuff, like a mix of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and David Bowie's "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" in its depiction of the rise and fall of a rock star, but not the kind of rock star anyone would actually want to be. Love it. Dave took a risk by releasing an all covers EP of songs that were definitely not hard rock/metal for his first solo release after leaving Van Halen. It paid off, since his versions of The Beach Boys' "California Girls" and Louis Prima's "Just A Gigolo"/"I Ain't Got Nobody" medley were hits and still sound good today, and the videos are great too.   Jan 28, 2024

Classic debut that still sounds good today. "Hit The Lights", "Seek and Destroy", "Whiplash", "The Four Horsemen", "Jump in the Fire" are all still great. The line "Full speed or nothing" in "Motorbreath" would later appear in "Lux Æterna" on "72 Seasons", and is as true today as it was then.   Jan 28, 2024

Great stuff, especially considering this was a transitional album, since it was the first album with Vinnie Vincent on guitar and KISS' last album before they took off the makeup. The title track, "I Love It Loud", "War Machine", "Killer" and "Keep Me Comin'" are all great. Funny though that, on an album featuring songs titled "War Machine", "Rock and Roll Hell", "Killer" and "Danger", the longest song is titled "I Still Love You."   May 26, 2023

아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025

The "Ram It Down" is a very underrated album, but in 1988 in the german Metal Hammer looked like a new classic by the soundcheck.Otherwise the "Ram it Down" and the "Hard As Iron"(with thundering riff) are great fast classic Priest songs.
