This isn't the tired glam sound that everyone knows from those boring bands in the scene. I like the ballad "One Way Ticket", it's not at all like that cheesy pop thing. "Bitch Is Back" captivates me with some amazing guitar work too, as does the last track "Down in the city", whose opening guitar riff caught my attention. The whole album is fire. Shoot for Thrills is the only "not so good" track. They know how to make a catchy chorus too. The first one "Show No Mercy" is kind of sticky as hell.
Electric Gypsy also has a great chorus. The album is amazing.

80년대를 대표하는 위대한 록 밴드 Guns N' Roses는 Tracii Guns가 이끌고 있던 L.A. Guns와 Axl Rose의 Hollywood Rose의 결합에서 탄생한 밴드였다. 그러나 이 결합은 오래지 않아 파국을 맞이했다. 각각의 밴드의 리더였던 Tracii Guns와 Axl Rose 같이 자기 주장이 강했던 인물들이 한 우리 안에 있게되면 감정적 마찰 말고는 남는게 있을 수 없었다. 결국 음악 성향과 성격차이로 Tracii Guns가 밴드를 나오는 것으로 결말 지어졌다. Guns N' Roses를 나온 Tracii Guns는 원래 자신이 조직했던 밴드였던 L.A. Guns를 다시 결성하여 활동을 개시했다. L.A. Guns가 정규 앨범을 발표한 것은 Guns N' Roses가 일년 앞서 발표한 걸작 데뷔 앨범 Appetite for Destruction을 발표하고 난 다음 해였다. 당시 Heavy Metal씬에서는 여전히 Glam Metal과 Pop Metal이 맹위를 떨치고 있었는데 밴드의 셀프 타이틀 앨범은 그러한 흐름을 잘 탄 작품으로, 뛰어난 완성도로 무난히 상업적 성공을 거둘 수 있었다. 특히 앨범에 실린 Sex Action과 One More Reason은 전형적인 글램 메탈 송으로 L.A. 아주 켱쾌한 글램이다. 트레이시 건스는 gnr을 보며 무슨 생각을 했을까 참으로 궁금하다. 사실 1집 2집을 보면 가망이 없던 밴드는 아닌데 인기의 척도나 지금까지 찾는 앨범의 순위로 보자면 많이 밀리긴 한다. la guns 한국 검색해보면 2011 경주 엑스포에 왔었다. 유튭에도 영상은 올라가 있다

My most played album # 46. L.A. Guns - L.A. Guns First release 1988. The album spent 33 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart, peaking at number 50 in April 1988. It was also certified gold, It only went gold but it is 6X's platinum on my IPOD! What great songs! Three singles from the album "One More Reason", "Sex Action" and "Electric Gypsy". Two more songs got a lot of airplay in the day, "No Mercy" and "Bitch Is Back". Play the whole album and turn it up!

멋진연주, 매력적인 보이스, 적절한 불량기와 글램의 매력, 박진감과 귀에 박히는 멜로디. Electric Gypsy 는 그야말로 최고의 곡이다.
