First review! Boo-ya! LOL. I'm a metalhead that loves anarchy so punk resonates with me. This band especially. For melodic punk they still get the message across. Wonderful individuals in this band. This album, I've played it just twice so far, is something special from these guys. Below I added a write-up I found online that describes it the way I would if I had the poetry in me. :)
Society’s deck has been stacked against most of us. From crippling college debt and poverty-level wages to labor automation and political malfeasance, this album seeks to voice the frustrations of the increasingly disenfranchised.
“Much of this was written before the pandemic, but if the pandemic hadn’t happened, I don’t think the lyrics would hit as hard.. A lot of the cracks in civil society—the stuff we were writing about anyway—were made bigger during the pandemic. The ugliness rose to the surface and a lot of our weakened support systems became apparent to everybody.” vocalist Tim McIlrath.
