Very thick and theatrical, maintaining some of the atmosphere from their 2017 album, though I feel the vocals move it into less atmospheric territory. Some are calling this one technical and maybe it is. I think it's still safe to say Alluvial has a certain unique element, which is cool because it helps them stand out. All in all, a cool album that smartly shifts between sub-genres and keeps the feeling on full blast 100% of the time.   Aug 20, 2022

Extremely soothing music though it is very heavy. Sometimes there's djent, and you can hear influences from many sub-genres including doom and progressive, but yes it's mostly this unique atmospheric death. Very melancholic playing of pretty compositions. Vocals here are often kinda doomy. For the post-rock aspect, it reminds me of April Rain, but it's blended so well with atmospheric black metal that you can't draw a line between the post-rock parts. Impressive.   Aug 17, 2022

I had a lot of fun trying this one. With many of the songs, I felt the intro promised more power than the song as a whole maintained. Black as Time, the final track, is totally top tier. I love this stormy debut from the guitarist from Astrayed, an independent band. On his own he sweeps in with this full-length that is totally atmospheric, but atmospheric in a very plain old-school kind of way. So many bands are finding a unique mix of black metal with something else, or just making it very weird and unorthodox. Deceiver, Deceiver is one of my favorite recent songs. Though I don't love anything else on this album as much as that, it's still 11 well written tracks. In the Eye of the Storm and House of Mirrors are also great. I liked this more than I thought I was going to. This beautiful songwriting shows they truly love the sub-genre (power metal). An inspiring positivity dominates the album, but I eventually noticed there's a true sadness hiding behind it, and the effect is powerful. A nice album with some variety within the atmospheric black metal; there're some folky melodies, some synthy synths, female vocals, and it's less repetitive than some of his other albums. Even better than Will of the Primordial. It's just what I wanted, but I kept listening again and again until I finally accepted the fact that it really is as beautiful as my ears are telling me, and I'm not just hallucinating. 85-90, 예전에 빽판으로 즐기던 음반. 운이 좋게 다시 시디로 구입하게 들어보게 되었다. 지금 이 시점에서는 좋게 들렸고 시원시원했다. 녹음은 거칠긴 하나 가끔 너무 갑갑한 믹싱이 되어 있는 메탈음반이 많은데 차라리 이런 식으로 만드는게 낫다 싶다. 1,2집도 언제인가는 구해지지 않을까 생각해본다.   Oct 30, 2024

어쿠스틱 기타, 첼로, 플루트 등을 이용하여 녹음한 어쿠스틱 사운드의 작품이다. 그러나 표현하고자 하는 사운드의 방향성 자체는 무겁고 진지하다. 멜로디가 약간 서늘한 냉기를 품고 있다. 더운 여름에 들으면 시원함을 느낄 수도 있지만 대체로 가을의 분위기에 잘 어울린다. 커버아트와 음악의 매칭이 절묘하다.   Nov 4, 2024

90-95. 이 시기의 블가 앨범들은 다 좋은 듯. hansi의 보컬을 더 느끼고 싶어서 사모으기 시작한 앨범인데 그렇다고 나랑 맞는 음악을 하는 밴드가 아닐 수 있었지만 지금까지 몇번들어본 결과는 만족스러운 행진 중이다. the eldar같은 곡은 지금의 나에게는 최고의 곡. 인트로+본곡 같은 스타일로 중복이 되는데 큰 단점같지는 않다. 조화롭게 잘 넘어갔다.   Nov 8, 2024

95-100 2024년까지 나온 오케스트라와의 협연 음반 모든 것을 통틀어 최고다. 다 어설픈 편곡때문에 그냥 원곡 듣고 말지 라는 생각이 드는 반면 이 음반은 최소 제대로 만들어진 영화음악 하나 들었다 할 정도로 편곡자체가 매우 잘 되어 밴드와 오케스트라가 제대로 융화 예상과 달리 스튜디오로 앨범을 냈지만 dvd 2disc를 사면 라이브 시디가 포함되어 있는 듯 하다.   3 days ago

훌륭한 데뷰. 1집을 꼭 사야 할까라는 생각으로 살다가 이제야 얻어걸린 느낌으로 사게 되었다. 물론 1집을 필수라고 여기지 않았지만 후회도 없다. 보컬이 멤버들보다 나이가 10여살 많은 걸로 기억하고 게디리의 좀 더 듣기 좋은 버전이라고 생각이 든다. 다만 믹싱이 마음에 들지 않아서 살짝 밋밋하다. 보컬과 드럼이 살짝 뒤로 간 느낌.리믹스가 절실하나 과연?   Nov 7, 2024
