Probably Nightwish's most forgotten album. Still very good, although far from what the band is at its best. The song material is consistently strong but there aren't many great songs. I've never liked Tarja Turunen and that's why I'm not a fan of the band's early days. Good music nonetheless. 1 day ago

Annoying because the beginning of the album is so great but a few obvious filler songs towards the end of the album lower the rating significantly. "Victoria's Secret" is the best on the album, "Draw Me" is an extremely underrated and truly beautiful song. Sonata Arctica's last pure power metal album, the next albums would be much more progressive and grandiose. Good, but Sonata could do better at their best. 1 day ago

The best of the band. Not a single bad song. "Hollow" is the best song of the band, I almost always start crying when I listen to it. Phil Anselmo really found his unique singing style here. Dimebag is a master, as always. "Walk" will make you headbang so hard you'll get a sixback in your neck. Great album. 1 day ago

Good album, especially for a debut. The top 3 songs massively elevate the album, with the rest being mostly good or average songs. The sound is unique and I would rather listen to this than anything else from Mötley Crüe, despite a few filler songs. Sebastian Bach is a great singer and the album is definitely the band's best, at least in my opinion. 1 day ago

Probably Megadeth's best since "Rust In Peace". Really underrated and good. The music is a bit more melodic and catchy, some like it and some don't but for me it's not a problem. The song material is great, although there are a few filler songs. The first 4 songs are really good, they should be played more live! Good album. 1 day ago

Really, really good. Many people think "Back In The Village" is a filler track but I disagree. There is not a single bad song on this album but "Powerslave" is a perfect example of a perfect album. Bruce Dickinson is just so incredible that I don't think anyone will be left cold. Much better than "The Number Of The Beast". 1 day ago

Really underrated! I think it's actually one of the band's best. Timo Kotipelto is a great singer and his arrival had a significant impact, I don't think Stratovarius would have ever reached its current level without him. The song material is not perfect, but it's good enough and there's emotion. "Twilight Symphony" is an underrated masterpiece. Listen to it, I'd say it's better than the rating suggests. 4 days ago

Probably the first prog album I listened to and the album that really got me hooked on the genre and especially Dream Theater. The song material is perfect, and the band does everything better than on their debut. I mean, by far. "Metropolis..." is definitely one of the best songs of all time. Do you still remember the time when James LaBrie was incredible? If not, listen to this album. Great album, maybe my favorite progressive metal album. 4 days ago

"Rust In Peace" hit me like a bolt from the blue, because I didn't think their previous album "So Far..." was particularly strong. With "Rust In Peace" the band really cleaned up the weaknesses of their previous albums and released an incredibly good album full of songs that are considered classics. "Tornado Of Souls" is probably my favorite song from the album. Almost a perfect album, only the useless "Dawn Patrol" and Mustaine's slightly poor vocals bring down the rating. 4 days ago

How I love this! After the great album "Powerslave" Iron Maiden decided to renew their sound and create something different. This really paid off, because "Somewhere In Time" is probably their best album together, with perfect song material. A futuristic sound combined with classic heavy metal clichés, still sounding unique and fresh. What more could you ask for. 1986 was truly a great year, at least musically. 4 days ago

3 days ago

Great classic album with incredible songs like "The Evil That Men do","Moonchild" or "The Clairvoyant". Mar 4, 2025

Mar 10, 2025

I'm pretty sure this is the best debut in history. Sonata Arctica immediately does what they do best and the result is amazing. "FullMoon" is a great song. Mar 11, 2025

Great album but not at the level of the debut in my opinion. The band tries a bit of progressive direction with pretty good results, although some songs are quite weak. The end of the album is great. Good job Sonata! Mar 11, 2025

DT caught my attention with their previous album and this one confirms my thoughts on them. I´m not so fond of their old stuffs but these 2 keep me on my feet and I will go back to them regularly. Mar 12, 2025

Very good album by Dream Theater. As always Mar 4, 2025

The "Ram It Down" is a very underrated album, but in 1988 in the german Metal Hammer looked like a new classic by the soundcheck.Otherwise the "Ram it Down" and the "Hard As Iron"(with thundering riff) are great fast classic Priest songs. All in all i think only the "Love Zone" is the only one problematic song and the Lp is great.. Mar 8, 2025
