Along with appropriate use of keys and synths, it's fairly enough for Trancecore to be a fascinating Metal sub-genre. Jan 7, 2019

Attention, garage-skullface-zealots; Being esoteric (and also being weird) doesn't automatically give additional qualities to your album. Jan 6, 2019

I've been wasting my whole dang-diddly-deathcore life. Why didn't someone notice me? Jan 6, 2019

Thou shalt call thee Janus-faced utmost vicious form of otic aesthetics! Jan 6, 2019

Canadian deity of drums has more than two avatars; anyway, the second host is definitely Flo Mounier. Hands down. Jan 4, 2019

We all gotta admit, BMTH has turned themselves into just a 'Band', neither Deathcore nor Heavy Metal et cetera. The only question is that are these singles decent as for Pop genre. My answer? ...meh. Tbh medicine is a very mediocre song for me, but other two were great(Y'know, an opinion is an opinion). I won't make a single hasty conclusion about amo. P.S. The music video is sick as fuck. Though I'm totally aware of the fact that Metal music is some sort of sadomasochistic self auditory amusement and for me it is a great pleasure to hear this age's numerous virtuosos, Richardson's songwriting is kinda tiring. Dude, you should some learn the aesthetics of moderation. Jan 1, 2019

Not only brutality but also lamentation reigns this album's overall atmosphere. One of a hell kind of Death Metal masterpiece. Dec 31, 2018

Great and decent introductory alternative metal album. Goth-ish melodic sessions and Lee's deep voice make joy bigger. Dec 31, 2018

"Scientists can solve any problems!" "No, I'm not." "Nay thee" Dec 30, 2018

Man, what a verbose. Anyway, this would be the quintessence of Stoner Metal. I mean, look at the title! Dec 29, 2018

Zakk Wylde redefines what Heavy Metal genre should have and would have missed. Virtuoso showoff skills, ruthless brutality... who does need it anyway? Just cling to the basic. Sometimes we overlook too much things held by the strain says us be always fresh. Dec 26, 2018

Anger is like fire. Once the fuel runs out, you'll burn to ashes. Be like storm, as for air not to disappear but circulate til the wind blows again. (Edit : Yes, I was drunk a bit.) Dec 24, 2018

So many 'The Sithu Licks'! This new record is quiet inconsistent and repeating, yet mind-relaxing. Come on, he has made up more than 3 albums in this playground, and it's barely possible to achieve in this floating world of changes. So let's consider this as an watershed, Okay? Dec 19, 2018

Gus absolutely nailed all the solos, but this is a band material, isn't it? Dec 18, 2018

Yellow became my symbolic color of Heavy Metal by this album. Purple too, as of Painkiller. Black either, because of British Steel. Red is for sure, because Firepowe... Wait what the fu- Dec 17, 2018

"Neo" "Classical" "Metal". Need more descriptions? Dec 17, 2018

Bowman entered Stargate. Elder fan entered Stonegate. What an Odyssey, though. Dec 17, 2018

What would left behind after when you kiss the cloud? Closing your eyes won't hide you from disappearing monadic dewdrops. Dec 17, 2018

Enter the John Zorn Zone! Where scorned lorn mourn becomes worned porn! (Let me show you my Poetic License, huh?) Dec 16, 2018

Still...still better than Tim Burton, but why now? Why? Dec 16, 2018

Just when you thought there's nothing more to dig from standard tuning for thrash... Dec 15, 2018

This guy dedicated to my melancholie by a handful of records than what 100 pills of sedatives did. Dec 13, 2018

Inconsistent, psychotic core. But enjoyable. Nothing much to say. Dec 11, 2018

This cracks my heads up. It's a perfect audioization of synthetic horror(Hmm, terror a bit?). Dec 10, 2018

Improved breakdowns, less ear raping mixing, increased catchiness. Cool! Dec 4, 2018

3 days ago

Great classic album with incredible songs like "The Evil That Men do","Moonchild" or "The Clairvoyant". Mar 4, 2025

Mar 10, 2025

I'm pretty sure this is the best debut in history. Sonata Arctica immediately does what they do best and the result is amazing. "FullMoon" is a great song. Mar 11, 2025

Great album but not at the level of the debut in my opinion. The band tries a bit of progressive direction with pretty good results, although some songs are quite weak. The end of the album is great. Good job Sonata! Mar 11, 2025

DT caught my attention with their previous album and this one confirms my thoughts on them. I´m not so fond of their old stuffs but these 2 keep me on my feet and I will go back to them regularly. Mar 12, 2025

Without question, the heaviest album I have ever heard in my life. Nothing else even comes close, really. HLB's sound is the apocalypse distilled into music, and that's nothing to be said about the sheer technicality of the album. While Vildhjarta is still better, it's not by much. Best track - Passage Mar 4, 2025

Even after nearly a decade and a half, there truly is nothing else quite like Vildhjarta, despite the influence they've had on modern metal. Their stunningly technical instrumentals combined with top-class atmospherics and audio mixing leads to a downright otherworldly, mind-bending sound that has not been replicated. My #6 album of all time. Best song: paaradiso Mar 4, 2025

Very good album by Dream Theater. As always Mar 4, 2025

The "Ram It Down" is a very underrated album, but in 1988 in the german Metal Hammer looked like a new classic by the soundcheck.Otherwise the "Ram it Down" and the "Hard As Iron"(with thundering riff) are great fast classic Priest songs. All in all i think only the "Love Zone" is the only one problematic song and the Lp is great.. Mar 8, 2025
