똘복이 90/100아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다. Mar 19, 2025

ggerubum 85/100다시 살아난 폼은 떨어질 줄 모르고, 진짜 좋은데.. 정말 좋은데.. 짙게 드리운 어둠이라기에는 너무 명징하다. 컨셉에 맞는 분위기와 강약 조절을 좀만 더 했다면 명반 반열로 올라가는건데, 듣기 좋아서 더욱 그 한끝이 아쉽다. Mar 30, 2025

Petrichor 90/100모던 파워 메탈 특유의 대중지향적이고 댄서블한 면이 분명 있으나 선을 넘어버린 다른 밴드 만큼 과하지 않고 적당하다. 앨범 후반부가 좀 아쉽긴 하지만, 그래도 이들의 앨범 중에선 이 앨범이 가장 마음에 듦. Apr 5, 2025

TELIA 90/100I really like this and I think it's the band's best in 20 years. The song material is great and the playing is smooth. And above all, the band is doing what it's good at and what the audience wants to hear, which is proper power metal. Towards the end, the level drops marginally, but the beginning is so great and the whole thing is bearable that it doesn't really matter. A great album, one of the best of 2024. Mar 18, 2025

TELIA 90/100A really good album. Not as good as "Operation: Mindcrime", but still a successful album. Call me crazy, but I think "Silent Lucidity" is the band's best song. 똘복이 90/100굉장히 대곡 지향적이고 음악적인 정점을 터트리기 시작. 완성형 아이언 메이든의 포문이라 볼 수 있다. 영국 헤비메탈사에도, 이들의 여정에도 가장 극적인 앨범이 아닐런지? 개인적인 생각으론 동명 타이틀곡인 The Number of the Beast은 타이틀로 삼기엔 잘 못 골랐다는 생각. 차라리 Children of the Damned이 100배 낫지. 사운드만 본다면 3집과 4집이 뒤바뀌어야 옳다. Mar 19, 2025
