This one's just straight out amazing. Fantastic brutal songs and barking vocals reminiscent of early Cryptopsy, with the song flow sounding like Whisper Supremacy era Cryptopsy. Jul 2, 2015

Sepultura takes a musical turn. Wise decision? Some people would think likewise, but it just seems like a huge undermine of potential. If they had developed their style they showed on Arise further, it would've made an amazing album. Sure, Refuse/Resist and Territory are both great songs. But they just seem to ignore their predecessors. Jun 28, 2015

Sepultura's Magnum Opus. Arise has everything from crazy cool riffs, Igor Cavalera signature drumming, pertinent breakdowns, and good production. Jun 28, 2015

Beneath The Remains; aka the Cavalera brothers showing off their beautiful musical prowess again! Full of thrashy riffs you can bang your head to all day long, this album is easily one of their best. Jun 28, 2015

An amazing Brazlian Thrash album. Schizophrenia gives off a feeling different from that of Bay Area Thrash or Teutonic Thrash, so it's still pretty original for today's listeners. Jun 28, 2015

A guttery, brutal, gruesome, and absolutely disgusting job. By the time you reach mid-album, you're head will probably be ripped off to shreds. Jun 28, 2015

With the usage of female vocals and a rather gloomy mood, it's quite an original Black Metal & Shoegaze album. Jun 28, 2015

Prepare to be punched in the face by these Groove Metal giants. They managed to come out with another freaking amazing record! There are so many groovy, thrashy moments that you can nonchalantly bang your head to, and man those riffs are awesome. Most regular people would say, this is a new level and you should Re! Spect! It.(reference!) Jun 27, 2015

Panthera tigris, the tiger. As their band name, Pantera, suggests, these Texans sure are the tigers of the '90s American metal scene. Their first album after the join of Philip H. Anselmo tured out to be god tier. Groovy and Godly. Jun 27, 2015

Most of the Ozzy-era Sabbath gems are packed in this album. It's simply amazing as heck. You should listen to this, over and over again, track to track, from War Pigs to the final chord of Fairies Wear Boots. Jun 27, 2015

Black Sabbath was such a strong band from the very start! All of the songs can be defined as: well-written, memorable, and priceless. Great early effort from these British giants. Jun 27, 2015

All hail the glorious and mighty DIO! This is simply a perfect heavy metal record. Tracks 1 through 8 are all majestic. If you buy this album, you're ripping off Black Sabbath big time cause it simply ain't worth a few bucks. It's invaluable. Jun 27, 2015

Don't listen to this. I just saved 20 minutes of your precious time, you can thank me later.
Seriously, it's like any other Meshuggah album/song. It's repetitive, boring, and nonsensical. Jun 27, 2015
Kildneybean 90/100
Matt Pike, the mastermind of stoner/sludge metal, has done a great job on this one. Snakes for the Divine keeps your attention fixed for quite a while, just 'cause it's a really well made album. Awesome riffage too! Jun 27, 2015

This record is a legendary landmark of the Thrash-Punk Crossover subgenre. By exploring the boundaries of both hardcore punk and thrash metal, it makes the album exciting and fun to listen to. Jun 27, 2015

Some of the recent stoner releases are quite solid, and Lore is easily one of them. The songs unfold and progress through time, so the songs aren't boring even though they're around 10 minutes each. Not to mention the cool stoner riffs enthralling the listener through a 1 hr journey. Jun 27, 2015

Recent, more rock-oriented stoner metal stuff is just as good as classic stoner metal albums. These guys write crazy awesome riffs, memorable songs and never loses the heavy stoner feel they give off. Jun 27, 2015

A very catchy Death&Roll album, reliving the feel of Swansong by Carcass. Basically every track is so well written, the rockish feeling they give off is so entertaining to listen to. Jun 27, 2015
Kildneybean 55/100
Does Djent even have any musical value? It's simply palm-muted polyrythmic "riffs" presented over and over again. All the songs sound so same, it's basically undistinguishable. Even a computer can come up with a Djent riff these days.(seriously, someone wrote a djent riff generator on a computer.) Jun 27, 2015

Haha, this is some legitimately funny joke metal right here. The way it pokes fun at the clichés of metal is priceless. Nice mixture of different styles too. (It's a joke album so I figured it ain't material worth listening to 30 times.) Jun 26, 2015

There are a multitude of Post-'00s Crossover Thrash bands, and one awesome band is Municipal Waste. They've managed to incorporate both old and new aspects of Thrash, making an original and fun release. Jun 26, 2015

This is some friggin dope BDM work right here. The vocals and technical drums, guitars, bass go really well together, creating a feeling that you'll get brutally murdered just by listening to the record. Which is the point of all BDM stuff, right? Jun 26, 2015

Awe-fucking-some! Really good buzzsaw DM that rips through Swedish woods. Entombed takes a turn regarding their style of music afterwards(which is equally great), and they've reached the pinnacle of their career early on with Clandestine. Jun 26, 2015

Interesting Symphonic Black album with a cool storyline. Music wise, it's really good but you might dislike the meddling keyboards. Jun 26, 2015

Though the melody's listenable, if you don't dig Djent that much you'll just be like meh. Not interesting. Jun 26, 2015

Later Aerosmith is just as strong going as early Aerosmith. Steven Tyler's high, powerful vocals(using his gargantuan mouth), Joe Perry's riffs, and overall just great musicianship made an awesome album. God I Love the taste of good aerosmith songs! Jun 26, 2015

What a brutal and amazing title track. It has a really sharp and poignant sound but with some pretty funny lyrics. Track no. 6 is kinda funny too. Jun 26, 2015

Come My Fanatics... Is quite a solid sophomore effort. The immensely heavy guitar tone's as if they're saying : remember? We're Electric Wizard, and we'll rip out your auditory system as always! Jun 26, 2015

Blissful proggy death metal. The songwriting's really well done. It's really fun to listen to how the song changes and develops through time. (This band's lineup's cool, ain't it?) Jun 26, 2015

Awesome chainsaw-buzzing old school Swedish Death record. There's not a single weak song. Jun 25, 2015

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
