Queensrÿche s príchodom speváka Todd La Torre -ho chytili druhý dych a prinášajú aj s posledným albumom "The Verdict" kvalitnú porciu Prog. Metal/Rock -ovej muziky. Metal-ové a rock-ové pasáže sú najlepšie, občas však zaexperimentujú aj s inými prvkami. Po hudobnej stránke sú poznávacie prvky jednoznačne počuteľné, a to: nápadité a uvoľnené bicie (o ktoré sa postaral taktiež La Torre!!!), melodické vyhrávky, jemné sólovanie a občasné gitarové pritvrdenie dua Michael Wilton / Parker Lundgren a doprovodná basa Eddie Jackson -a. Celkové zhrnutie - podarené album.
Jediná malá škoda je (aj keď na albume nie je počuteľná), že si na novinke nezahral dlhodobý člen Scott Rockenfield, ktorý si dal z osobných dôvodu od hudobného biznisu prestávku. Týmto ostávajú v kapele už len dvaja pôvodní členovia.
