Dark Tranquillity 최고의 명반으로 꼽히는 본작은 듣다 보면 흡사 활화산이 폭발하는 것 같은 느낌을 준다. 화려하고 수려한 멜로디가 앨범을 전체적으로 지배하고 있는데, 그 멜로디들을 듣다보면 그 속에 응축된 에너지가 꿈틀대는 듯한 느낌을 받을 수 있다. 이건 그 동안 쌓아놓은 Dark Tranquillity의 연륜에서 뿜어져 나오는 '힘'이라고 봐도 될 듯 싶다. 또한 아름다움과 사악함, 전혀 어울리지 않는 이 두 성질이, 마치 물과 기름이 비누에 의해 자연스럽게 섞이는 것과 같이 조화롭게 어울려서 넘실대고 있는 듯한 느낌을 준다.
