This is a bit weak compared to most of their albums, so I understand how it ranks lower comparatively, but I didn't find anything particularly bad. What I heard was a quite solid and mildly enjoyable album. Jul 8, 2024

Last week I tried a lot of punky sub-genres such as this powerviolence by Groin, and this was the most enjoyable out of the whole brilliantly in-your-face bunch. The track titles already have me in paradise, but the music is so on point too. Highly recommended. Jul 8, 2024

A great variety of punk and many kinds of metal done very well, all with an oppressive atmosphere and genuine feeling. Good and original. Jul 8, 2024
Cosmicism 90/100
Great rousing punkiness that works well with these rhythms, and yes it's rough & heavy as the genres suggest. I love the deathgrind parts, and for a few moments it does venture into straight-up death metal territory so there's real variety here. Fantastic and extremely memorable. Jul 8, 2024

It's definitely satisfying, and I found the instrumentation really shining every here & there. Overall, good but not great for me. Jul 8, 2024

I liked the whole album, but nothing was as engaging as some of their other releases such as Wolves Within. Still good though. Jul 8, 2024

So I was trying to get a sense for nu metalcore, which is becoming a thing. This album was a mix of okay moments and slightly subpar moments, but the 10th track, Clickbait, was the only thing I actually disliked. Overall, slightly better than so-so. Jul 8, 2024

Stylewise, this is just what I was looking for, but I couldn't find the immediacy I often get from war metal. For me, so-so. Jul 8, 2024
Cosmicism 95/100
This past week was particularly good for me, and this dank swaggering album was one of the best parts. I love how the vocals are de-emphasized but still pack a lot of attitude. I also love the Iommic guitarwork. Jul 8, 2024
Cosmicism 85/100
I can get into this nu metalcore album. One of the guys is the one from Memorrhage. Known Demise is a bit less centered on Slipknot, and works in a bit of early Deftones & early Sepultura, and of course metalcore. Glad I gave it a try. Jul 8, 2024

Somewhat bad, which it pains me a bit to say, because I was really hoping something in this style could be better. The biggest problem is the voice the singer uses; it's just boring, unmusical, and samey. Sometimes the orchestrations get really phoney, and the lyrics have some moments for rolling your eyes. Just the guitars and drums could've been the basis for something better. Too commercial and a disappointment. Jul 2, 2024

Weird and unorthodox, and a bit of a challenging listen too, with it's intentionally distant and muffled recording. That might sound like a bad idea, but it makes it very interesting. I'm afraid some will not give this a fair try, and others might act snobby and make too much about the fuzzy soundscape. All things considered, it's pretty entrancing, but I wouldn't say it's excellent. Jul 2, 2024

Great songs with great arrangements: all the instruments sound so great working together. Of course it's pummeling and relentelss, but then the last track goes into ambient territory with a foreboding feel. All in all, very good. Jul 2, 2024

My surprise of the day. A great mix atmospheric BM, depressive BM, and Kyrgyz folk. Some parts have a strong resemblance to Drudkh, and some parts are similar to Severoth. It's also all extremely epic and full of drama. Easy to recommend. My pick of the day. Jul 2, 2024

Softer than I expected and more progressive than I expected. I don't enjoy it as much as their 2012 album, but it's clear they are growing as musicians. Respect to Vemod for that, and it's still rather moving. Jul 2, 2024

Interesting and it has some very good moments, but most of the album I like just bit. Jun 29, 2024

A nice album by Liminal Shroud, but what I'm really looking forward to is their 2024 release..... Jun 29, 2024

Yet another hot new band from the very happening deathgrind subgenre. Shock Withdrawal is fully on my radar from now on. Jun 29, 2024

This time Aran just astounded me even though I was betting it would be very good. Listening again, I find this haunting album even deeper. It's also extremely well crafted: the ambient moments and slower moments are all the perfect length, the field recordings are lush & sensory without overstaying their welcome, and the instruments all have the optimal timing for bringing maximum levels of melancholia. Absolutely my pick of the week. Jun 29, 2024

The band that calls their music bimboviolence put together a very good album here. Jun 29, 2024

Cool band with a unique theme & image. Their music is good too. Jun 29, 2024

Incredible and brightly burning deathgrind with those break-neck speeds I came for. It promises to be 12:47, but it ends up being longer because I just had to hit play another 3 or 4 times right away. I've been digging for more deathgrind, and this was my biggest reward for these efforts this week. Jun 29, 2024

Tons of great moments. The songs are so epic, and the brass instruments add some great emotional depth to the overall feeling. Another great atmospheric BM album by Sear Bliss. Jun 29, 2024

Wow. What a replayable and vigorous release by Gorgoroth. All the melodies flow so nicely and the rhythms have a real sense of urgency. I also enjoyed the pagan moments. One of their great albums. Jun 29, 2024

Pleasant surprised; I wasn't even aware of this album but the quality, passion, and energy are all their. I think I'm also hearing some Killing Joke influence, so it adds some variety to Ministry's massive discography. Track 2 is dynamite, and the chillout closing track works very well. Jun 29, 2024

Very good dissonant and tech death. Their 2024 album definitely grabs hold of my attention better, but this is still highly recommended for fans of dissonance. Jun 29, 2024

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
