If I cared more about this band, I would be frustrated at how they ruin the vocalists pretty impressive ability with cringe effects like auto-tune. A couple of songs are all right, mostly mediocre, but an improvement on the 2023 release. Mar 20, 2025

A great place to start for the fantastic Alghazanth. Mar 20, 2025

Great use of the symphonic element to make an ominous atmosphere. Some good tracks and some amazing ones. Mar 20, 2025

The beat does get stuck in a rut a few times, but there are some nice raw vibes too. Mar 19, 2025

Rather depressive in feel for most of the album. It's all right. Mar 19, 2025

This album starts off in the middle of some pitch black and deadly night, and then it goes through a bunch of different drama, finishing with no daylight in sight still. Overall, good but not equal to Melana Chasmata. My favorite tracks are In Shrouds Decayed and A Thousand Lies. Mar 19, 2025

Thick gratifying sound on this swaggering doom album. Mar 19, 2025

Déhà - kindly leaving us all an emotional wreck time & time again. Mar 19, 2025

My pick of the week, last week. It's that wonderfully diabolical atmosphere I've come to expect from Borgne, and almost every song is giant and dramatic. Mar 19, 2025

How good is the album? Really solid. On top of that, the album must be wearing big thick sunglasses for the whole 36:40. Mar 19, 2025

Absolutely beautiful. The 1st track is the best and, good news, it's by far the longest track. Rest in peace Juhani Palomäki. Mar 19, 2025

That 1st track is by far the main attraction here, but the middle of the album does have a bit of a punky vibe, which is quite interesting. Anyway, good for a few listens, but I'll come back expressly for track 1. Mar 19, 2025

Very industrial and electronica-based. Definitely has some good atmosphere. Mar 19, 2025

Understandable how Lacuna Coil made such a big splash back in 2002; this album is a real pleasure to listen to. Mar 19, 2025

Cool start for Glassing. I'll go out on a limb and say this is mostly on the post-hardcore side. Also, a bit different than their magnificent 2024 album. Still cool though. Mar 19, 2025

The trap & rap elements made this a trip outside my regular listening territory. It was an interesting trip. Mar 19, 2025

It seems she's a very independent artist, and here she switched from hip-hop and rap to doomgaze, and it worked out very well for her. Mar 19, 2025

It sounds to me like these guys are highly skilled musicians, but the jazzy nature of the songs is not quite what I get into. If that's your thing, I'll bet you'll love this one. Mar 19, 2025

Amazing atmospheric BM by these black metal veterans who started afresh under a new band name, and in triumphant fashion at that. Also, black metal fans, just look at that photo. Mar 19, 2025

Extremely nocturnal vibes from this gorgeous album. Mar 19, 2025

Nice dreamy free & open post-metal guitarwork contrasting with extreme metal elements such as harsh vocals and sludgy composition. Great work by a rather new group. Mar 19, 2025

Very nice slam record with a striking cover painting. You can really hear how much practice & dedication went into this instrumentation. Very glad I listened. Mar 19, 2025

Nice new EP by Ninkharsag, and I like how their album covers seem to work as a running narrative. Mar 19, 2025

Pretty darn good album. Let's be honest. Anne is a better singer even though Tilo's vocals have tons of personality. This is why track 7 stands out so much; a brilliant vocal performance by Anne. For the rest of the album nothing is bad. Track 1 is not quite up to the standards of the rest of the song. Anyway, still cool. Mar 10, 2025

The 90s have it. I agree. The foreboding cultic vibes of this bestial album are wonderful. Mar 10, 2025

Listening to this, I felt like I was getting into a really so-so album, but starting with track 6 the quality jumped up a whole bunch. Even it all out and it gets a good score. Nothing particularly negative in the first half... so it goes from okay to nice. Mar 10, 2025

Mar 30, 2025

I'm pretty sure this is the best debut in history. Sonata Arctica immediately does what they do best and the result is amazing. "FullMoon" is a great song. Mar 11, 2025

Great album but not at the level of the debut in my opinion. The band tries a bit of progressive direction with pretty good results, although some songs are quite weak. The end of the album is great. Good job Sonata! Mar 11, 2025

DT caught my attention with their previous album and this one confirms my thoughts on them. I´m not so fond of their old stuffs but these 2 keep me on my feet and I will go back to them regularly. Mar 12, 2025

4 days ago

Like "Silence", only 1000 times better. The band's absolute best album. Not all the songs are masterpieces, but the best ones are incredible and the atmosphere of the album is epic. Mar 11, 2025

그 나이에 이게 데뷔앨범 이라는게 믿기지 않는다...다만 이때 모든 힘을 쏟은 것일까...ㅠ Mar 12, 2025

Probably Judas Priest's most commercially successful album, and it's extremely good. The song material is brilliant, and if we forget the existence of "Pain And Pleasure" and "Fever", it's perfect. The "Hellion/Electric Eye" duo is still one of the greatest opening tracks in metal history. The production is tuned to exactly the level that a band of this class should have. And then there's Rob Halford. Absolutely phenomenal, a top-3 Priest album for me. Mar 13, 2025

Rainbow leaves classic hard rock behind with their second album and begins to create the beginnings of the genre that would later be called power metal. The song material is practically perfect and the album features perhaps the strongest band line-up in history. The last two songs are pure masterpieces. If melodic old-school heavy metal with incredible vocal performances interests you, now you know where to look. Legendary! Mar 15, 2025
