I've always preferred Lacuna Coil's first two albums. They are the doomiest and closest to actual Gothic Metal. This one is very strong and full of passionate performances.   Jul 27, 2024

Personally, never been a big fan of Lacrimosa's style. It's too operatic with not enough focus on guitars. Rhythm section is super boring too. Builds awesome atmosphere in places, but there's little payoff due to the lack of energy or power.   Jul 27, 2024

Another phenomenal delivery of Melodeath. Might even be my favorite of their old school Melodeath albums. In Flames have always had a knack for making their songs "catchy" and that still holds true even on their older Death Metal material; this one ends with many of the finest songs of their 90's era.   Jul 27, 2024

아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025

The "Ram It Down" is a very underrated album, but in 1988 in the german Metal Hammer looked like a new classic by the soundcheck.Otherwise the "Ram it Down" and the "Hard As Iron"(with thundering riff) are great fast classic Priest songs.
