I do not have harsh feelings against Nu-metal. I used to like Nu and alternative metal bands like Korn and Deftones when I was a teenager. Absorbing unconventional musical elements would be totally fine. It might broaden the musical knowledge of their fans if the musical mixture is successful. But it would be a horrendous outcome if the mixture was a total failure. In short, Slayer failed to do a quality job of juxtaposing the Nu-metal grooves with their legacy in this album.   Mar 24, 2023

I think Cro-Mags took the wrong path to change their musical style... I have no idea what they were thinking when they recorded this album. Very inspirational release with Arcturus-like experimentalism. Not all metal albums in experimentalism sound convoluted. This release is a fantastic mixture of industrial, prog, and black metal. Especially the ending track, 'Va Shia', ends this album brilliantly with some clean yet proggy electric guitar, low, shamanistic vocalising and those hard-nosed verses of groove riffs.   Mar 24, 2023

It is a terrific and exotic release. I was so impressed by Khonsu's previous effort. But this one is even better. This album has uniqueness in both sound and structure, which makes it defy to sound like typical black metal. This release has its own peculiarity in a superlative way, not only in terms of musicality but also in terms of the dark futuristic and engrossing atmosphere engulfing the city floating in a stream of stars.   Mar 24, 2023

A promising debut album with decent quality. With the stunning variety in style shown in this album, Lör twists and turns the melodies in a beautiful way that I could barely imagine. But, Lör's experiments in some tracks sound somewhat rough and abrasive. This album is full of fresh ideas that only a newbie with a bright spark can offer. It´s very eclectic music with strong melodies, great vocal harmony and choir work, and a general disregard for genre labels. There are heavy and at times almost thrashy sections on the album, more mellow parts, epic parts, and quirky almost carnival bizarre parts. In this album, death metal is combined with the method of avant-garde style composition. Some people criticise the sax in the middle of the track, but I like it though. Intriguing space-themed metal album. It's quite hard to find out a debut full-length album with this quality. There's no complaint about the technical proficiency of all the instruments the band played and the song-writing capability has been successfully executed with meticulous musicianship. 85-90, 예전에 빽판으로 즐기던 음반. 운이 좋게 다시 시디로 구입하게 들어보게 되었다. 지금 이 시점에서는 좋게 들렸고 시원시원했다. 녹음은 거칠긴 하나 가끔 너무 갑갑한 믹싱이 되어 있는 메탈음반이 많은데 차라리 이런 식으로 만드는게 낫다 싶다. 1,2집도 언제인가는 구해지지 않을까 생각해본다.   Oct 30, 2024

어쿠스틱 기타, 첼로, 플루트 등을 이용하여 녹음한 어쿠스틱 사운드의 작품이다. 그러나 표현하고자 하는 사운드의 방향성 자체는 무겁고 진지하다. 멜로디가 약간 서늘한 냉기를 품고 있다. 더운 여름에 들으면 시원함을 느낄 수도 있지만 대체로 가을의 분위기에 잘 어울린다. 커버아트와 음악의 매칭이 절묘하다.   Nov 4, 2024

90-95. 이 시기의 블가 앨범들은 다 좋은 듯. hansi의 보컬을 더 느끼고 싶어서 사모으기 시작한 앨범인데 그렇다고 나랑 맞는 음악을 하는 밴드가 아닐 수 있었지만 지금까지 몇번들어본 결과는 만족스러운 행진 중이다. the eldar같은 곡은 지금의 나에게는 최고의 곡. 인트로+본곡 같은 스타일로 중복이 되는데 큰 단점같지는 않다. 조화롭게 잘 넘어갔다.   Nov 8, 2024

95-100 2024년까지 나온 오케스트라와의 협연 음반 모든 것을 통틀어 최고다. 다 어설픈 편곡때문에 그냥 원곡 듣고 말지 라는 생각이 드는 반면 이 음반은 최소 제대로 만들어진 영화음악 하나 들었다 할 정도로 편곡자체가 매우 잘 되어 밴드와 오케스트라가 제대로 융화 예상과 달리 스튜디오로 앨범을 냈지만 dvd 2disc를 사면 라이브 시디가 포함되어 있는 듯 하다.   5 days ago

훌륭한 데뷰. 1집을 꼭 사야 할까라는 생각으로 살다가 이제야 얻어걸린 느낌으로 사게 되었다. 물론 1집을 필수라고 여기지 않았지만 후회도 없다. 보컬이 멤버들보다 나이가 10여살 많은 걸로 기억하고 게디리의 좀 더 듣기 좋은 버전이라고 생각이 든다. 다만 믹싱이 마음에 들지 않아서 살짝 밋밋하다. 보컬과 드럼이 살짝 뒤로 간 느낌.리믹스가 절실하나 과연?   Nov 7, 2024
