Your thoughts on In Flames' Siren Charms album
Alright people. What do you guys think about the new In Flames album? Is it the worst? or best? or just another generic boringly average album?

Not so much bad, not so much good, average but not boring, but 'Through Oblivion' is shit that ruins whole album. I think previous album was better, but this one is just OK except that shit.

If this album is considered as an another genre album, it's not that bad for me.

In terms of melodic death metal genre it is suck but in alternative rock not bad. 3 out of 10 for their effort to me

Without Jesper, it's just tedious shit ever. What da fxxk is that nu-metal fanatic moment at this time -_-

I don't think In Flames went to nu-metal stuff. They just went something modern and wanted to change their sound become different. You know every band (not all of them) wanted to change rather than stayed their old sound. Btw, I wasn't expected to hear the new stuff from them.

I agree your statement that most of bands want to turn their direction into progressive way than bf, hwvr, sometimes it doesnt seems it looks like. U may know what im sayin... thing is that its not bout their successful business ... who judging their music mostly come from its followers. Its not only including IF, but i wanna say their transformation is not well-succeeded. Well, somebody can say their promoter lift them up to the higher edge with core-fanatic Americans after their Americanization, but dont forget they lose their originality also after then. Just compare with other core stuff that get influenced by IF's Discography till Clayman [2000] (Trivium, Shadows Fall, Killswtich Engage, As I Lay Dying. etc). Its totally my opinion, though just few fannatic people would say IF's stuff (from Reroute to Remain to now on) has better quality than these second mover. Recording? Just excessive pressing to all mixing stuff - less tighten than what they've made till Clayman (obviously on crack). Creativity? I say absolutely 'No'. The items called 'Nu-Metal influenced Mixture Sound' & 'Groovy-Core Breakdown' has soluted into their musical stuff, hwvr, just boring repetition between verses with meaningless floating programming sound which isnt remarkable irritates me without satisfaction. I won't say their product is suck if they create their new identity with full achievement through new era, but what i faced is just less-groovy core, vague instrumental, and counterfeits of trend... and what I see now... are they copying Deftones? Damn just kick their fuckin ass. I'll stop here. I just ramble

I don't have any rights to judge their music because everything changes in our life; however, one thing I can say it's too far from what I expected.

can't say it's a masterpiece,but is still a solid album.despite the change of style,they didn't lost their charm. 8/10

definately most of their fans including me are super disapointed with their anther piece of shit alternative sound. it is true that they'll never get back with their original sound it's so SAD BUT FUCKING TRUE..ㅎㅎㅎ

I wouldn't say it's the worst but it's certainly not my type of thing.

Well, this is what happened when Jesper left the band, In Flames turn out to be boring trendy band after all.

It was Ok. Not bad. but i'm sure they could have been better than this. 'Sound of playground fading' was a lot better than Siren Charms
