2021년 At The Gates의 정규 7집앨범. New Albums를 통해 알게 된 밴드이기에 전체적으로 이들이 어떻게 변화 및 성장을 해나갔는지는 모르지만 적어도 싱글로 선보였던 곡들이 귀에 착착 들어와서 이끌렸다. 그리고 처음으로 이들의 정규앨범을 접해보았는데 꽤 좋았다. Spectre of Extinction, The Paradox는 말할 것도 없고 Touched by the White Hands of Death, Cult of Salvation 등 아드레날린을 증폭시키는 곡들이 많이 포진되어있다.
이 앨범을 계기로 이들의 작품들을 하나씩 알아나가는 즐거운 시간을 가져볼까 한다.
덧붙여 한 마디만 하자면 역시 스웨덴 메탈은 믿고 듣는 음악이라는 것을 또다시 확신하게 되었다(물론 평작과 졸작도 있지만 대체적으로 스웨덴 메탈은 성에 안 찬 적이 없기 때문에)
